I didn't think about Wu Tang, probably because I only wanted one rap group and I like NWA better.

I've always thought of Wu-Tang as hip-hop and NWA as gangsta rap.

I never though Dr. Dre was that great of a lyricist, but the man has made some really great beats.

I think there is a huge difference between those 2 groups.

I think you would be the only person to think Wu-Tang is rap, and NWA is hip-hop. It's vice versa Wu being hip-hop, and NWA being rap.

Nah, the two genres both are rap but hip hop involves the type of music they rap to.

Though really they are both quite Hip-hop, though some of Wu's songs are just Pure Rap, Repetitive beats,all about the lyrics.

Hip hop is not a genre of music, it is the culture.

Rap is a genre of music, and is part of hip hop culture.

You can refer to music as "hip hop" music, but there is no difference between that and rap music.

The only rapper on this list that I would put in my top 5 (or even 10) emcees is Biggie. He is one of the best to ever do it.

Other than that my favorite rappers are Eyedea, Slug, Ol' Dirty Bastard, and Mac Lethal as far as how much an emcee entertains me. If we are going by who is the "best" rapper my list would be completely different.

I feel bad I forgot about ODB. He was the funniest rapper who ever lived. Next in line would be Big Pun(imo of course).

ODB wasn't that great of a rapper, but as an entertainer...hands down one of the best to ever do it.

Rappers don't get shot over east coast/west coast beef anymore. At least not popular ones. All these emcees are just studio gangsters anyway. The last rapper I can think of that got shot was Proof from D-12, and you know why? Cause he was being an idiot, pulled out his gun first, and shot the first shots which killed a man.

It's really ridiculous, especially when we have talented artists like J Dilla dying from TTP and these cats don't even have enough respect to put their guns away.

I agree, beefs are ridiculous. I've been in some, and it's just an awful situation. Usually it gets resolved, but it's bad when other people open their mouths and get involved with something that isn't their business, now you're in a beef with them too.

It's pretty well known what happened to Proof, as there were tons of eye witnesses, and the only one responsible was him.

i wish i could of chose them all, they all have big talant , I chose tupac because of the afect he has had on peoples lifes and how his music inspired others to rap the way they do today, i used to be into 50 cent but i soon grew out of that, thank god, i now like a mixture of music, whatever i like really.
