I will play if I have time. I have not even played any games on the new site yet so I'm not sure how it will go.

I can only play if you don't mind me playing my mario kart on my snes, I can't play games on my grandparents pc. I have a camera so I can take a video of me playing it on my snes.
Is this alright?

If I include myself in the video you can know it's legitimetly my video and I can record from bootup that there is no gameshark and that I'm not using a cheat.

the issue is that the SNES runs differently than an emulator

the emulators frame rate can be at an increased speed which would give you the advantage

but I will leave it up to the other participants if they dont care then I dont care but you will still need to submit your score ontime

so what does everyone else think of allowing cam to compete

Nope. Its not a big deal because this contest isn't worth anything but I'd rather not start a trend. One time deals are rarely one time only.

I was gonna play but I still don't have a controller to play games with on here. I can't play as good as I want with the keyboard. Smashing into walls is pretty annoying when you know the levels so well.

dudebro I know you have a 360 controller. so you do have a controller if you need help setting it up to use send me a pm. Unless you only have wireless

I can't save videos for some reason. When I try to save one, it tells me I don't have permission to save in whatever folder I'm trying to save it in and asks if I want to save to "Owner" instead. I click OK and it takes me to the owner folder, but when I try to save there I get the same message and can never record the movie. What should I do?

hmm that is more of a kong question because how I depict the saving in my video on page 3 is the way it works for me

Are you using Vista/IE? This is actually a good thing. Vista and IE by default will not allow this to happen because allowing any access out side of the browser's protected folder would be a risk. You can disable this feature of Vista/IE but I do not recommend it because it protects you from bad sites.

The only place that you can save to in Vista\IE is "%temp%\low\arcadeox\". That folder has added protection and does not have access to most Windows features.

@tenser mostly no I just skipped the mushroom cup because 1 its to easy and 2 there are not many players so we will probably jump around a bit between start and flower cup to try and keep things interesting

@TNT I did not watch your video but I loaded it to make sure it works and it does so your good and doing it right

if you want to compete in the tournament you play super mario kart time trial
and play the round flower cup> choco island 1 and follow the movie recording instructions on page 3

your trying to get a faster time than anyone else

Yu should at least be submitting a time which is more than what I'll be doing. Just haven't built up enough initiative to even care about this.

if this was a team contest it would be more fun
