sports medicine, athletic training specifically, i was covering it as it happened, call ems, referred her to the emergency room, ended up needed plastic surgery. i'm assuming she is fine.

Wow! That's good that sh'e most likely okay. I guess you probably see lot's of things like that, but that's still scary.

@ winnbagel, no i rarely see anything that gnarly, most sprains, strains, and so on. there are a couple of other injuries that make my top 5, but seeing good stuff like that comes around maybe 2 or 3 times in a career.

right...what i refer to as the good stuff are injuries that are out of the ordinary, stuff that i can tell stories about. for example when a junior high girl got hit in the head with a discus because she walked across the discus pit, and the discus cut her down to the skull, that would be an example of a good stuff story to tell.

in general, i've probably become fairly desensitized to athlete injury, so it is fairly easy to refer to injuries as good stuff, ok stuff, great stuff(the nose job).

Yeah I'm guessing alot of people didn't get it unless you've seen the show. I've changed my avatar to the new upcoming 11th Doctor. That's how I look in real life. (I wish.)
