(It should be noted that, while it is a matter of preference, many people highly dislike the use of "yiff" as a verb and prefer seeing the real English equivalents used, as they find that "yiff" makes sentences awkward, lacks a clear definition, or "sounds stupid.")
Yiffing is a term for sexual intercourse between furs.
The most common reason for two furs to "yiff" is simply to relieve sexual pressure. Casual, monogamous and polygamous yiffing are all common. In most cases, it is done purely for pleasure, many times as part of a broader roleplay. Only in rare cases are more serious topics, such as breeding, involved.

Birth control is rarely involved in roleplay, and condoms are seldom seen since virtually all furs completely ignore the concept of sexually transmitted diseases
