To me it is because, for the most part, you probably had access to those games at home.

But you didn't have access to beating the high scores at home. At home, you maybe had someone to play the game with, at the arcade, you had a much higher quality game and more challenging, coupled with the feeling of beating the high score.

I'm a big fan of Coach K College Basketball.

It runs on the EA mid-90's baskeball engine, just like NBA Live. You are almost guarneeteed to break the backboard every game.

NFL Hard Yardage - Arcade/Coin-Op
Fun game but incredibly easy for some reason.

@RedLetter- Look at those first place scores, they aren't very great.
