Used to play Mafia Wars all of the time. Quit cold turkey. Great decision. Video game addiction like gambling addiction affects you mentally. You don't suffer through physical withdrawels when you quit, but once you let go, you makes a world of difference. I used to get up in the morning, check MW, go to work, check MW, get back from lunch, check MW, get home, check MW, before I went to bed, check MW, probably wasted 30 to 45 minutes a day on that stupid game.

If you play mafia wars, or farmville, or anyother zynga/facebook game, do yourself the favor and stop. You won't regret it.

That's disgusting to hear about the mom who did that. She won't be doing Facebook anymore, that's for sure.

I read in the article how she is probably going to get a lessar sentence. Why is that exactly? Did the makers of Farmville buy the judge off or something?

Definitely a case of Justice not done if she gets a lesser sentence. I wonder what the argument for a lesser sentence really was.

Likely a plea bargain, saves the tax payers and the courts time and money by agreeing to plead guilty to a lesser charge, likely manslaughter as opposed to murder.

im gonna guess nsanity plea. And dude, My mom plays farmvill for hours, and shes fine. still does TONS of interacting and is as sane as ever^^ -smiles- so dont blame the game for the fact the stupid -censered- can't keep her -censer-life and game from mixing. Teh fact your blamign the game at all for one person is insane, it's not the game its the people. Same argument as wth doom, and all Other violent games. I play them all the time, you dont see me runnigna round killng people to get achievements.
-sigh- im sorry if m rud, teh mom in question is in the hospital so im kinda stressing hehe.. I did break rules there but I went back and just put Cencer in instead... casue that show I feel.. f you mods want ot change it or whatever go ahead.. Im trygn to behave.. it sjsut.. hard today. Same excuse for my spelling..my heads.. not on right...

I blame these games because they're so lame and they give real games a bad name. We should not encourage horrible video games even if they're on facebook.

actually it was my mom being in the hospital cause of an arm infection. Still don't know what caused it, but shes home now and everything is fine^^. Though, bejeweled and tetris are the kinda games I really enjoy^^. That and Uno^^. all teh games on face book are mini games, not real games. Some peopel obsess about certain mini games, like Farmvill, fish ville, and etc. Bejeweled and tetris. as they are on face book, are still full games. Not lal games on face book are crud. Some are yeah, but not all.
