Hulk Hogan, he is so awesome lol. I don't like wrestling, but I knew he was a great wrestler.

Yeah. You have to give him props for remaining such a force in wrestling after all these years. Without Hogan, it's tough to predict where prowrestling would be today. If it wasn't for Hulkamania in the 80's there is a strong chance that wrestling would not be the worldwide phenomenon it is today.

Re: The Greatest Prowrestler of All Time...
It was a toss up between Flair, Michaels, and Brett. I had to go with Flair though, he just too legendary to the business. Honerable mentions go to HHH, the Undertaker, and Mick Foley.

Yeah. I had a really tough time picking guys, so I went with the ones who are more "legends" I guess. You can vote other if you want.

Re: The Greatest Prowrestler of All Time...
Kurt Angle has real wrestling talent and pro wrestling skill, Bret has just pro wrestling. I was never impressed with his supposed technical skill anyways. The sharpshooter is much lamer than the ankle lock. Kurt FTW.
Btw Benoit should've been on this list. So many of the people on the list suck and they're only popular because of made up stories that allow them to shine. Benoit was one of the most skilled guys to ever enter the ring.
Same with Eddie Guerrero. This list actually sucks without these two.

This list wasn't just the best in terms of technical skill, but also in terms of impact on the sport.

They are two of the best, Eddie because he was... well Eddie Guerrero, and Benoit because of his skill on a technical level.
Also:
This list is lacking the one name that is more important than Hulk Hogan in terms of pro wrestling:
"Macho Man" Randy Savage
I would have thought DB would mention it before me.

Sure he's not on the same level as kurt angle for freestyle wrestling, but kurt can't touch him when it comes to the squared circle. Bret grew up in the dungeon.

Re: The Greatest Prowrestler of All Time...
I like Bret Hart but I was never captivated by his mic skills. IMO Ultimate Warrior was more captivating on the mic then him, and he never really said anything..exibit A

Re: The Greatest Prowrestler of All Time...
Pure and simple: Ric Flair may be the greatest considering the fact of how long he's wrestled with a back injury sustained in a plane crash

Good to know but I still think the list is off a little. I don't think anyone looks at Booker T and Jake the snake in terms of greatest. They're good in their own right but no where near the top for either skill or impact. Eddie and Benoit would be better choices imo. The rest are all good nominations though, even other.

I love macho man but I never thought of him as having much actual wrestling skill. It's like the rock. He's awesome but he never really did much in the way of difficulty(as far as I remember).

I'm not that into pro wrestling so my info is limited but I've seen both of them wrestle many times. Through the years I've really never been impressed with Bret. It's obvious that he's one of the more skilled wrestlers overall but as for what I've actually seen him do I'm underwhelmed. Maybe it's just the difference between the old days and the high intensity of newer stuff. Back in the day Bret was like a big fish in a little pond but with all the talent since then he's not so big anymore.
At least I didn't say Brock right? I was tempted.
@Smitty- I liked UW when I was kid and I remember being confused when he kinda disappeared. Didn't they have some other guy dress up like him for a short time?

Re: The Greatest Prowrestler of All Time...
Well what Brett has to offer is beyond what most people look for, even myself to an extent, but to people who really know this stuff, like wrestlers themselves, he is amazing.

Re: The Greatest Prowrestler of All Time...
But has he ever had the chance to show his full potential in front of the cameras? I've seen some epic matches with angle where he was doing combos of technical moves, I can't think of that with Brett.

Re: The Greatest Prowrestler of All Time...
You won't find a top ten best matches list without his name on it a couple of times. I agree that on the surface he doesn't seem like much, but like I said there is a side that most don't even realize that they are seeing.

I can accept that but it still think Angle is just a better overall talent. To each his own right?

Re: The Greatest Prowrestler of All Time...
Kurt Angle is another fine choice as a wrestler. Not very many have made it to the Olympics and won gold.
as towards Bret and growing up in the Dungeon, there was another alum who became great in his own right that was mentioned: Chris Benoit

Re: The Greatest Prowrestler of All Time...
Yeah I really think he was better than Brett but he wasn't given enough airtime to show it. He was stuck doing his routine of german suplex, flying headbutt and finish with the crossface. Once in a while they let him spread his wings but he was always second or third banana. Since the horrific events of his death I think most people have kind of dismissed him also.

Re: The Greatest Prowrestler of All Time...
What do you mean? I think I understand what you're saying but I wanna be sure. Either way I think it's pretty understandable for people to wanna forget about him after what he did. It's one thing to die in a bad way but to take your family with you so cold bloodedly is hard for a lot of people to swallow.

I mean they all thought instead of waiting for autopsy they would automatically say he was having a steroid rage even though he was suffering from boxer's dementia
