anyone can take stuff from my chest room you just have to enter the dimension door next to the mountain in ru village and it is marked with a sign saying chest room there is a lot of stuff in there
I'm so overwhelmed by the amount of things. I decided to go against my regular nature of secluding myself. Built some generic house in the village. Will probably attach a railway to some cool biome for another place down the road.
Internet connections fine now. Apparently Technic+Youtube Uploading don't mix, yet Minecraft+Youtube are fine... I don't know.
@Anyone building in that village- I'm trying to make it hidden from people walking by. I'm not worried about griefing I just wanna do if for fun. My goal is to make it hidden in an impassable forest only accessible by flying or hidden passages. So build whatever you want but don't make it bigger than the highest npc house and don't have some giant beacon of lights advertising our secret. If you wanna help with the hiding be my guest. There should be lots of saplings and tools in the village ready to go.
I do want to make a fully powered beacon for town. It will be quite some time though. Too bad there's no way to hide the light without preventing the beacon effects.
Not sure what happened but someone messed up the npc village. There's some water near the church that keeps changing to ice when I block it up. The npcs seem to be gone, probably because the water knocked out torches but someone could've just killed them. Either way I'm pretty unmotivated to play atm.
I dunno about that. The spot where the water came from didn't look like one removed block would cause that damage. This new water was a couple blocks higher than the old. There's also two signs right at the end of the water but they're in latin or something. Not sure if they were there before or if they were put their by a griefer.
Alright, so I couldn't connect again. (my end of things). Well I can, but I lag out. Not sure why, other than it happens while uploading youtube videos. Here's the thing though minecraft launcher connecting to a server while youtube's uploading in the background. Perfectly fine. Tekkit Launcher, apparently not. Maybe tekkit takes more out of internet? Not sure if that makes sense, but oh well. I have my offline hardcore going for a reason. At least an additional reason now.
So more Hardcore updates probably only I care about! Yay.
(Remembering I have a custom weird superflat world Top layers of dirt/grass taiga biome, beneathe that, a big water layer, beneathe that some stone mostly, too high up to generate much other than coal, below that is ungodly. several layers of air, essentially creating a supercave dungeon of enemies, and below that all the normal mining goodies, caves, dungeons, etc. No villages able to spawn anywhere, and also no water pools on the surface to spawn)
Successfully made a safe base in the layers of air/cave. I rarely walk the normal surface of that place or I have 50 mobs after me instantly. Had to start work on killing endermen to progress. Did so from the safety of that home. 1 ender pearl. ran into a giant mineshaft through my mining deep. Which has yielded me lots of goodies, and tracks I used to build a track between my mobspawner/killer thing I created on the surface, and my main base. Worked out splendidly.
Also much later on took the time to go after some good ol' obsidian for you know what. Yep... Nether has been reached. Made a portal, unfortunately neglecting to remember that the surface of my particular superflat world is somewhere around layer 180-200. So, as you can imagine this made the nether superbly fun /sarcasm (actually kinda). Trying to locate safe ways down, making sketchy bridges, the works. Only to find out that just out of my render distance the other direction was the almighty fortress I came for. Unfortunately this required making a ladder on my way back home all the way up to the 2nd platform in the nether sky I mined too. Now making the trip a lot less of a burden.
I had to leave the nether and come back due to lack of arrows (thanks ghasts). Went back to the fortress, tried to find a normal way up, said screw it and made more ladders to ascend the support beam at the edge of the fortress. Punching through put me directly in an encounter with a blaze, a wither skeleton, and 2 ghasts within site... I didn't die actually. I hid in the hole, killed the blaze, went up killed the wither skeleton normally with 2 ghasts firing at me. Did I mention behind me at this point is a broken fortress bridge leading to a deathly fall... Yep. Scariest moment of this hardcore thus far. Counted my losses there and got out of the nether to return with better things, namely more arrows.
Here's the thing. There's no way for Reeds to spawn in this world (something I only thought of today), so I initially thought no paper, books, or bookshelves to be found for high enchantments, not to mention a book is needed for the enchantment table. Only hope of enchantments I later realized is getting to an abandoned library, or a dungeon with enchantment rewards. For higher level enchantments at least. (remember I turned village spawns off).
Since I took the time to explain this all for some reason. I'm going to go grab pictures now. Just not the nether, because that's a hike. Remind me later.
Anyways. That was my night off. Can't believe I've survived so much throughout this, but it's making the game 100x more interesting for me. This hardcore has been ongoing for probably a monthish and probably a dozen or two hours logged into it at least so far.

Outside of Giant Cave/Air Layer base (Not much spawns right away thankfully). Give it a minute though and you don't want to be on the ground of that outside:
Inside of Giant Cave/Air Layer base. Made mostly of sand because gravity, and was the easiest solution for walls at the time. Slowly being replaced with wood as need by creeper explosions/Angry Endermen. Small 2-block high bit there was initial base and now serves as a hiding spot from Endermen when they are angry:

I accidentally flooded the place because of my ice shoes but then decided
to bury the villagers in a corner of the village and put up two signs
saying "Delenda est Carthago!" (We Must Destroy Carthage!) and "Ut cum
exercitu Romano hodie!" (Join the Roman Army today!) Just for the sake of
making the place look like it was griefed.
