I dont think a bat is too much.If this was happening to one of my friends, beleve me when I say they would be very sorry.

I know it would be better to be able to deffend myself.

Its just really hard to get away from him,
my only key - he has it, my bank card - he has it,

For example, I got a lil check the other day for like 57 pound or somthing,
He made sure he took half, even though he just got paid hisself.
I pay all the bill, he dont pay nothing.
Im going to have to leave him anyway, as I think im starting to fall for someone else !

Call the cops and tell them he is holding your keys, bank card and you wanna leave him. Also tell them that he has been abusive in the past and you are afraid of how he'll react. They should come over and make sure you're able to leave with your stuff without issue(at least that's how it works in the US).

Don't try to do this yourself or he might attack you. Please listen when I say this, he is not stable and he might try to hurt you more or kill you. If you don't wanna call the cops at least get a couple friends to come with you as back up. You are not safe with him in this situation.

Also you should probably get a restraining order to keep him away from you.
