- restrict access to games based on their age-rating as well

Friend Codes
- 3DS will remember the codes you put in for your Friends and track whether they are currently online or no
- there will be an app that tracks and gives you the current status of your friends at any given time
DSiWare transfers
- “System Transfer is a feature that enables you to transfer downloadable software already purchased on a Nintendo 3DS system to another Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo DSiWare games & applications purchased on a Nintendo DSi or a Nintendo DSi XL system also can be transferred to your Nintendo 3DS.”
- This function will be available after hardware launch.
- there will be a limit to how many times transfers can be made
- some software may not be transferable
- limit to transfers has not been detailed

I just got home from work, I watched the european conference, it was the only one I can find.

I actually might get some use out of this, concidering I work in the same building as about 300 other nerds.

I was really suprised, and delighted to hear the release date, I was worried it would be bumped to mid-summer or something.

@Ten was all this information during the actual conference? The European one mentioned non of that. All they had were representatives from various companies try and pitch their games. They didnt even announce the price, all they said was that the prices were given to the retailers, and to check with them.

They also mentioned a deal with some european sports station that are going to broadcast live and in 3d, and they mentioned all the download hotspots for each major city.

Protip: I was just mulling over weither to get a blue or black one then I realized black is the better color. Black is a neutral color thus will not interfere with the colors the game was ment to display. The blue border will distort the colors to different levels based on the in-game color scheme, I can only imagine that this effect will be amplified by the 3-d.

I think we're all hoping they come out with good games. It'd be a shame if they put all this effort into it and only junk got produced. I guess we'll have to wait a few months after release to see how things go.

You also knew that 2 days had passed and I was the only one to reply to the information. On topic:

Apparently the new Dead or Alive (available at launch I beleive) has Samus as a playable character, as well as a metroid stage. I found that kinda weird can only assume it's a ditch effort to resist the trouncing in sales it will no doubt get from SF4.

I don't see how it's lame as hell, sure no absolutly amazing games are announced. But there is wide variety, so most purists will have at least a little something to pick up in there respective genres.

Not a great launch list, but it's way better then the 3-5 games that the majority of systems launched with.

I am pretty surprised at how few games are launching with the system as well. It doesn't seem like there is any really major Big N with launch. However, I still think that the 3D will make games like Super Monkey Ball very impressive.

The list you're thinking of is the "launch window" i.e. March through July. There are less than 10 games listed as available on launch day.

Also, the e-shop will not be available at launch.

Has anyone tried a Shin Megami Tensei?, back at school some handicapped kid was playing DS, I asked him what he was playing (lol he immediatly shuts off his DS and pops out the game to show me, bless those handicapped hearts) and he said Shin Megami Tensei, he said it was really good, I'd like a second opinion though.

From the pictures of the 3DS I've seen, I am unimpressed with the button layout. The buttons are too awkwardly placed to be comfortable to use.

What are you talking about? They're nearly identicle with the DSLite which I find perfectly comfortable.

NoE as announced that the e-shop will be available on launch day through a firmware update. NoA has not confirmed the same. I really hope this is true.

Edit: If the e-shop is available at launch I'll be fine. There are tons of DSiWare games that I've wanted but never had a DSi to play them on.
