Alex Jones' sites and radio shows perform the function of an information command center {his websites are excellent}, a gathering place that just happens to attract a lot of people.
A lot of this is due to the documentary films he produces which expose government involvement in crimes and the elites' dark agendas which those crimes are a part of.
As I've said many times in the past, I am not personally fond of Alex himself but the information he spreads is vital.
What I'm saying is that it could very well be the Dojah report, and you could be owner and operator of prisonplanet.com - and it would be all the same because the key is the message, not the messenger.
So far as religious people that had been denouncing the NWO and trying to spread the message {before AJ} there have been a few that have done a very good job of warning people.
Barrie Smith makes some really good points,
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11E2MGrmu7k"]YouTube - New World Order (Part 1 of 6) Skull and Bones Secret Society Masonry 666 by Barry Smith[/ame]
and Professor David Ray Griffin is one of the most well spoken people I've ever heard, and the author of many brilliant books that de bunk the official story regarding 9/11.
This video is pure gold, and I should know, because I have personally transcribed this entire presentation for distribution.

These men and everyone like them are our modern - day heroes, religious or not.
They are angels by virtue of their actions against the evil NWO.

Re: dead celebrities
All I know is that Rosies a blowhard and she loves to shout down anyone with a different opinion. Not exactly someone I'd look to for truth. Btw gotta love this quote-
" You are not allowed to own a gun, and if you do own a gun, I think you should go to prison."
She's all over the map on gun control. Personally I think it's wrong to condemn people to prison for owning a gun but apparently Rosie is cool with it until her bodyguard starts to carry one a year later. Now it's apparently ok as long as it's all legal. Sounds like she's in favor of a dictatorship that follows her ideals, on a whim.
Quote:
Here you are doing the same thing you`re accusing me of - allowing your personal opinion to cloud your judgment, and I will explain:
Let`s say that I didn`t care for Rosanne Barr, but she began to come forward with what she knows about corporate media cover ups and spreading of disinformation.
|
I don't see it that way. I see it as taking what they say with a grain of salt, so to speak. If already know the person is a big mouth attention whore then I shouldn't take everything they say at face value just because it may happen to go along with my beliefs. Also who cares what they have to say? Any person can claim to know about an NWO, does being a celeb make them more valid?

Mmmm, that doesn't sound very good, does it?
Is it possible that she was talking about criminals with guns, that is, illegal unlicensed firearms?
The other possibility is that she may have watched 'Bowling for Columbine' and was influenced by the message it sends: that anyone who has access to firearms is a potential mass murderer.
This is simply not true.
Disarmed populations are in danger of being oppressed by their own government, as was illustrated many times over in the documentary 'Innocents Betrayed', which provides modern historical examples of what happens when populations cannot defend themselves against their own governments.
Getting back to the point I want to make about Rosie, earlier I referred to the one time she said on TV that the cameras at demonstrations and the posting of those videos on the net are essential in fighting the elites' efforts to block free speech.
You should ask yourself why it is that the police are now arresting people for videotaping them at demonstrations {and almost everywhere else} if Rosie was wrong about the power of the camera.
I'm not trying to put words in your mouth and make it sound like you disagreed with this one point she made, but by discrediting the message based on your personal opinion of the messenger you have missed out on a very good point in that instance.
Anyone could have said it and it would still have been a good point, you know?

Aren't most people on TV?
You're using that prejudice again, and pre - judging what people say based on your own pre - conceived notions about them.
To give you an example of how this can work the opposite way, during the 9/11 event there was a news broadcast showing the collapse of the towers and the reporter blurted out the truth inadvertently when he said:
'Gee, that looks just like one of those implosions, doesn't it?
Like when they bring a building down by controlled demolition.'
{I think it was Dan Rather}
so in that instance, should I:
A) turn a deaf ear to the observation this person made, based on my own pre - conceived notions about corporate - controlled mainstream media
or
B) listen to what he said he saw that day and focus on that instead of just dismissing it because of the source?

No, but it does give them exposure that few other people have access to.

No she meant anyone. Yes it was directly influenced by the Columbine massacre and she was just being a typical moron spouting her emotional response instead of really considering the issue(like she did when it directly effected her).

Again I see it differently. I see it as being cautious and not just believing her rants because they line up with my beliefs. She has proven to be unreliable in the past, why give her automatic trust on this issue?
Dan Rather is not an expert on explosions or implosions. His opinion on what happened is completely irrelevant. These people have to keep talking and putting ideas out there to keep viewers interested. You always talk about how we can't trust the corporate media machine, why start now?
Btw we're way off topic now and this is becoming a conspiracy discussion. Honestly I think it's the best thing to happen to this boring topic but we should wrap it up and make room for all the "rip" posts that are so much more important, right?

Yeah, what happened in this thread? It's waaaayyy off topic.
No one mentioned Corey Allen. He was a legendary actor turned TV director. He died back at the end of June. He appeared in and directed tons of television episodes including Rawhide and Star Trek.

It's been limping along since people started just posting RIP over and over without any discussion. At least the off topic tangent was interesting.

I'm gonna start making jokes about the celebrities that I don't really know, there will be mo more R.I.P.'s unless I actually care, I encourage everyone to do the same. Let's have a few laughs at their expense.

But why even bother at all? Are you saying you only want someone to rest in peace if you specifically say it? If not then why would you need to say it at all? This is a general question for everyone who posts just RIP but I quoted you so it makes sense.
Btw I saw flags at half mast today and I didn't hear of any important military deaths or other public servants. It seems to be for Steinbrenner, if that's actually true then I am offended and pissed off. I don't like to speak ill of the dead but he is undeserving of this kind of honor. He was not a public servant he was just another selfish fat cat milking fans for millions.

Re: dead celebrities
That's not what I was asking. I wanna know why people feel the need to post RIP(and only that). Do you usually want people to rest in endless suffering? It's a pointless gesture and it's annoying if that's all you type. How about why this person mattered to you? How about why it effects you? You know, discussion on a forum?

Re: dead celebrities
I'm not sure if that was sarcastic but I think it sounds good either way. Posting "RIP" and nothing else isn't contributing and it's ruining this topic imo. It'd be like posting "I agree" in a debate topic instead of saying why you feel that way.

Not that I like to speak ill of the DB, but how exactly is this different from any time I talk about other people?
There doesn't seem to be any more evidence to support your claims in this case than in those I have made, and yet here you are making these claims with 'iron - clad certainty', the same way you accuse me of speaking of others in the media/ news World at large.
Just an observation.
REGARDING the R.I.P.'s, I'm feeling that it's nice to pass along the acknowledgment and share in the common grief associated with the death of popular familiar icons such as George Carlin.
The marking of the passage of time in our own lives has a lot to do with it, and I often think to myself how much closer to the grave I am whenever I hear of the passing of one of our familiar icons.
That being said, I also am reminded of how many times those familiar icons turn out to be some pretty awful people - not the sort of people who we 'thought they were' - if you understand what I mean.
And that brings me back to my first point, and I think a very important question that transcends the purpose and scope of this thread:
What do we really know about anyone anyways when it comes to the publicly sensationalized and iconically familiar, other than 'what we hear' or 'what we read' about them?
It seems to me that we're always going by this second and third - hand information when speaking of these people, if they're even who we think they are in the first place, and what I'm getting at is the fact that I believe that we mostly just take our best guess based on the given information about anyone when it comes to deciding whether or not that person should be spoken of nicely or not.
Their reputation as we perceive it is at the heart of it, and if that perception is only based on whatever reputation the media {which are all owned by the same large corporations and so gain credibility through echoing each other} decided to manufacture for that given person ...
Look at how they're demonizing Ron Paul in the media when he's the one of the few U.S. politicians that makes sense.
So what are we supposed to think of him, what should we use as a measure of this man's virtue?
A. The corporate media who are seriously threatened by what he says, and are doing their best to discredit and demonize him
{because he has solutions to the problems in the U.S. that would actually work and speaks openly about how certain bodies in power block efforts to let these proposals go forward through congress}
or
B. Our own observation of what he says, which is based on common sense and reason.
That man knows what he's talking about, and I only wish we could have a real Politician like him here in Canada.
I know I'm contradicting myself on points I've made in the past because I myself recently bashed the leader of the Scientology movement, but there again I say we should judge the tree by the quality of its fruit.
That's it - we should judge the trees by the quality of their fruit, and even though I may not be correct all of the time, I like to think that I have fairly good fruit quality inspection technique.

What part of my statement is in question? This guy spent ridiculous amounts of money on his baseball team(driving up prices across the board) and doing anything he could to make money off the fans. Some people talk about him like he's this saintly misunderstood man but it's plainly obvious that he was mainly interested in making money at any cost. That's why I said he's undeserving of this honor. You disagree?
Also I looked it up and all I can find is that a Coast guard member died recently and Maine issued a half mast order. Not sure if that's why MA is doing it but it's likely.

And all I'm asking is that people expand on their thought a little. Are you saying it's interesting to read a topic and see several posts that are all the same and add nothing but pointless condolences that the dead persons family will never see? I think if you have nothing to add you shouldn't hit the reply button, it should be assumed that we all want most people to rest in peace.
Btw you're a little intense about your theories recently, what changed? You've always been slightly intense but now it seems like it's spilling into every post you make.

Re: dead celebrities
How about this:
We all elaborate on our R.I.P. type posts.
Maybe tell of why you are sad over the death of this celebrity, maybe you could explain who they are beyond their name, you could tell of a childhood memory of seeing them on T.V. or whatever. I don't know.
Simply posting R.I.P. makes this thread feel a little... lifeless. There needs to be elaboration or it's just the same exact post over and over again, regardless of who died, and who is posting about it.
