There's another update available. Nothing much.

- Fixes Ridge Racer 3D freeze glitch caused by last update
- Enables auto-update in sleep mode

anyone got anything else to say on monkeyball? All the reviews I've read have been mixed up with either disgust or love. From what I got its incredibly limited in game modes compared to the other games and only one mode is good. True?

Either way, I'm going to have my 3ds by july sometime when I'm in Calgary.

Donno, I was never a huge fan of the series, Marble Madness ftw.

Well monkeyball 1 and 2 were great, 2 especially, despite the childishness. I was 8 when it came out though. the childish theme of the games really don't seem suiting simply because of the fact that the games are usually insanely hard later on. I only recently beat both entirely last year, and some of these levels... My god, sega can be psycho lol. Anyways, I was disappointed with the wii game, and was hoping the 3ds one wasn't the same as the wii game.

Marble Madness is cool, but I prefer the third person where you are directly behind. I can definitely say I'm a fan of the type of game. There was also this one on Amiga that I hacked for dreamcast that was pretty cool. Kororinpa Marble Mania on wii was pretty awesome as well.

Just some examples of some of these levels. the first one show really wasn't so bad actually but the others can be pretty bizarre...

I always felt that the first two were good, but I didn't like really any of the other ones. I haven't tried Monkey Ball 3D yet since I don't have a 3DS but I'm just voicing my opinion

Yeah, the first two were great, as well as the ds game was great, and the GBA one was even good but Sega just messed up another one of their series' once it got on the wii.

Oh wow, I just got all the money that I've earned over the last month or so and it was a lot more than I expected... 230 dollars! Guess the hard work payed off, been doing some major construction renovations on the house over the last month and I got payed for it. Pretty sweet. I've got 50 bucks more coming in from a birthday check, but unfortunately canada Post is on strike at the moment, so who knows when that'll come.

Didn't think I'd be at this point for some time yet, but I'm not sure to do. I think I'll just suck it up and pay the 20 some extra bucks tax since it's not a huge amount, and I'll have to wait a month to be in Calgary.

I've been trying to find some sort of deal on a console and a game in one bundle but it's hard to come across one. I know when I got a DS in the 2004/2005 year they had a deal going on that if you bought a ds you got mario 64ds, yoshi touch and go, pokemon dash, or animal crossing for 10 bucks.

Heres what I found so far:

best buy: buy 2 select 3ds titles for 50 bucks, those titles being one of the three nintendogs, steeldiver, and pilotwings. (iffy on this deal, input would be nice)

future Shop (branch of Best buy in canada): Buy a 3ds, and get madden football for 10 bucks (really hate this deal). Another deal exists for a free 3ds case with the purchase of ocarina 3d.

I've found other deals, but nothing worth mentioning. Might wait it out a bit longer.

Considering of just buying whatever but my top choices right now are samurai warriors, Ocarina (maybe, never played zelda much), Ridge Racer 3d, in that order. Suggestions are definitely welcome

I thought Steel Diver was awesome, but I hesitate to reccomend it because a lot of gamers these days expect something different in a game. It's a short game, with kind of an arcady type feel to it, the game itself consists of playing missions to unlock more missions, it's very straight forward. The fun in the game is in the actual gameplay, the control system is genius and it's really fun to master. The game seems slow at first but once you get the hang of the precise controls, figuring out your lines is very quick. Like the sub is moving at a slow pace, but your hands are moving double time to constantly adjust your path. Really great game, but I'd get some second opinions cause I'm not sure it's for everyone.

Club Nintendo's mailing out free OoT soundtracks for registering the game within the first month of release.

I might just buy my 3ds without a game to start out :-/ There is no good stores nearby that are walking/biking distance so I take a ride when I can get one, right. Sounds like I'll have mine before or on wednesday, maybe thursday. Hoping earlier :P

Not a total letdown, I got all those DS games I can't stand to play on my original DS still that I can play for a week or two not to mention there are probably demos and stuff in the online 3ds store, correct?

Not sure if this is a huge deal for me. I know how great everyone says OoT is, and I've tried a few times to play it but lost interest like I always do when I have a few dozen games I want to play. Don't feel bad Cam, I'm the same way. If I try and play more than one or two games at a time I tend to lose interest in all of them.

Yeah, I loved OoT from the little I've played of it, but I get playing too many things at once and some games just end up being played more. Really short attention span for games honestly :-/ There is the once in a blue moon time where I can sit through a big long game. In example; I was able to finish FF VII & then FF V within the same month. Who knows. That's why I figure maybe if I get this new console and it's my only game then I can do it? We'll see but i may go with Samurai Warriors instead, always loved Dynasty warriors 4.

Think of it as a new start. Tell yourself you wont buy a new game for the 3DS until the last one is finished.

Lol, it's a good plan on paper, but knowing me, if I got spare cash after getting this new console, I'll buy a few more games as quick as I can. I guess I'll go for OoT, and try to play it all. By the time I'm finished a game like Samurai warriors might be pretty cheap. I've got the summer after all, won't have a whole lot of time for games.

My decision may be made for me since I'm buying this game close to OoT's launch, which is tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if it's sold out when I go to get it.

Target is giving a $25 Gift Card with the purchase of the 3DS. Also, if you buy OoT, you get another 3DS game half price off! So, I could get the 3DS, OoT, and another 3DS game for $285! Not bad at all

Yeah, I'll post the console code, looks like I'll just be getting the console for now.

I'm up to 280 bucks, I'm going to mow the lawn, and do some other yard work for 25 more. Have to go tomorrow or wait who knows how long. I need 324 bucks as I figure it. I'll hopefully find a way to earn 20 more, but this sucks. If the post office wasn't on strike, I'd have more than enough lol, the irony. They picked a great time to go on strike...

And if anyone is planning on picking up OOT, better leave now, I picked up the last copy at my local EB at 4, they had just recieved an emergengy shipment at 2, so it's going like hot cakes.

I'm really impressed with the gyroscope in the 3DS. It seems to work amazingly well.

My local GameStop only had reserve copies in. I was in a line of 10 people when the store opened and acquired 3 street passes during the wait.

Should have clarified, 324 for the console and a game. I'm sure it's about the same for you guys with tax. I think alberta's the only province left solely on 5% GST, but we got the crummy 12% Hst here :-/

Good news, made my mark finally. Working for pretty much 5-7 bucks an hour for my folks over the last few months and birthday money and I'm at 330 actually. I had 5 bucks left in my account as it is.

Probably going tomorrow still, I hope. I will post my Friend Codes immediately if I get one tomorrow.

After the 3ds sales were so low after the first few days I'm kind of expecting that OoT will be the same. I've got a plan tomorrow to go to an area that houses both a Zellers & a Gamestop in the same parking lot. Reason I do this is for 2 reasons. 1 is people don't normally go to a place like zellers to get games, although they stock them, and 2: Just 2 chances in case one store is sold out of course.

Kind of worried that 3ds' will be sold out now that everyone's getting them for OoT... That would be the icing on the cake after the work I did today for this thing. Keeping my hopes up.
