Chat Error: Connection Status: 503

This error message showed up in chat, Friday night, 21:05:05.

Any ideas on what that was all about?

I'm very curious because my disk drive started spinning when that message came on.

Error 503 means service unavailable. It means the RU webserver is overloaded and not responding.

Chat checks for updates every second. If the server is overloaded for 30 seconds then you would get 30 of those messages.

Should have zero effect on your harddrive spinning. And it should in most cases fix itself in a minute or so. If you are seeing the error then so is everyone else in chat.

Logging into two computers into chat causes this as well, for me it like made me span log in/out then that error.
