Just to let you know...........everybody farms..........EVERYBODY..........maybe not when your trying for a record or trying to master a game (as in this site) but when your playing for fun (which is what video games are about.....having fun.....entertainment) everybody farms, grinds or whatever you wanna call it....thats my point

If you want to farm, it's all good, as long as you don't send it in. You may do anything you want in full mode, but I just wanted to point out that doing anything repeatedly in order to gain some kind of advantage is not allowable if you are submitting a score.

This trick is perfectly fine in full mode, but I'm not so sure about score.

Well maybe many do, but I can guarantee not everybody does. I think the point is in circles where people play for hi-scores or record times mastering games Farming is not accepted. It takes a level of challenge out of it.

Just don't submit any scores in Score mode with farming involved and we will all be happy.

If you are not submitting a score, farm to your hearts content.

Tails is not quite as blunt and snobbish as his posts make him seem. I think you're just misunderstanding him. Don't sweat it, but when it comes to Mega Man, I think Tails will go to great lengths to prove his fanboy-ism. (or something)

Tails is Mega Man Master to be sure. If you have what it takes then maybe a showdown to see who can finish a set of Megaman games in the fastest times could be interesting.

@Parsons- The point that you seem to be missing is that we want our high scores to be fair and legit. It's not just on RU, any place that records scores doesn't allow for farming or cheating of any kind. It's what makes a score an accomplishment and worth taking note of.

Stop posting multiple times in a row. We aren't the most strict forum out there but I can assure you we don't like seeing that kind of thing.

Also you probably shouldn't call out someone like Tails who has 174 first place scores and 84 masteries when you have 0. I'm not saying you shouldn't be confident but you should probably wait until you can back it up with something. I mean that honestly no insult intended. Just trying to help.

I joined this site to have fun playing all the retro games I love so much and talk to other people about such things...........but it seems to me that this site is more than about just having fun........I understand the rules, obey them without question and would never farm when submitting a game mastering.........I would like to climb the ranks and become a RU aficionado(like become an annual donor), spreading the word of this sites greatness.......but Im not sure if RU is about having fun anymore.........everything I say gets negative responses...........its not like Im that Aqua Hedgehog Ive heard so much about........Im just trying to understand what this site is about........P.S. sorry for the rant, but Im trying to cohere to this site,thats all

You're taking this the wrong way. We're just explaining the rules and why we have them. People might be messing around but I don't think anyone is really be negative towards you.

Btw how have you heard of Aqua Hedgehog? It seems odd you'd mention him out of all the other people who've had issues on RU. For the record he wasn't even that bad and I think most people didn't mind him.

We like you but your just missing the point. We just want you to understand that using that tip in score mode is no good, but using it in any other mode is fine.

And Aqua isn't bad, he was just young when he built a bad reputation. He's quite mature now and has moved past those times.
