Trackball for Kickman

I wonder if you could help me with this issue ?
I wanted to play "KICK" with a trackball. In the "input this game" menu I've set the trackball in "Dial Analog" but it behaves awkward and does not respond correctly even after changing the sensitivity and autocentering values. So just out of curiosity I tried to set it up in "dial inc" and "dial dec" Although I know it's only for digital input BUT to my surprise it worked pretty well after I changed the digital speed! This whole thing works ONLY on the RetroUprising MAME. For some reason it does not work on my PC (I'm using MAME 106) -The inc and dec dials won't accept my TB . How can I fix this?
