Journey to Silius. An amazing game for the NES that's never received the credit it so deserves. It effectively combines the play-style of Mega Man with the Contra theme. Released in 1990 in both the US and Japan (Japanese title: Raf World) by SunSoft, infamous producers of the Final Fantasy Adventure (Gameboy) game. It was unfortunately pushed aside by other, more commercially strong titles as the NES was entering its hayday.
Fun Fact:
Journey to Silius was originally intended to be a cross-over title for the Terminator movie. Nearing the end of production SunSoft lost the licensing rights and had to remove certain graphic sprites and rewrite the background story. This is why you have a game with very little story. What story there is revolves around terrorists but you never fight any terrorists at all, just robots.
The Objective:
This game features six different weapons; Hand Gun, Shot Gun, Machine Gun, Homing Missle, Laser Rifle and Grenade Launcher. You will need to aquire all six guns and take a movie clip of you on the weapon select screen scrolling through each one. Here's the trick: all of them must have a full supply of ammunition.
