360 vs. PS3

Thoughts?

I didn't see a thread recent enough to tack on, so I just made a new one, I hope the mods don't mind.

I'm not posting a poll because there's a chance more people own a 360, so it would be biased. Also, I'm not posting my opinion until someone says something.

What do you guys think?

As we know in the past it's the games that make the console. The original nintendo won with game licsensing among other things.

So which is better know?

Depends on what you like.

The xbox has a superb online community while the Ps3 can blow it out of the water with it's capabilities.

What can the PS3 do to blow it out of the water? There are a lot of things that I would've liked on the Xbox 360 that the PS3 has.

Like, rechargeable controllers out of the box, WiFi, browser capabilities, Blu-Ray.

There's probably more (bluetooth), but out of the water? Hm.

I love my 360 and I will never buy a PS3. The only thing that PS3 has that appeals to me is Blu Ray capabilities, but for that I can just buy a Blu Ray player.

I agree with you for the most part TMT. I literally own one PS3 game (Drake's Fortune), but I have never taken it out of the shrink wrap. It just came with the system. I will probably pick-up God of War 3 when it comes out (and maybe Resistance II at some point), but other than that, I only use it for the Blu Ray player.

i feel the same way. also the 360 has better exclusives in my opinion. anything that i'd want to play on the ps3 my 360 already has, but the ps3 does not have Halo, Gears of War, or Left 4 Dead, so yeah i'm sticking with 360 all the way. plus don't forget the fact that we 360ites have better controllers, those ps3 ones are so light its like i'm not holding anything and the thumbstick placement is much better on the 360 having one higher up on the unit than the other. 360 WINS. PERIOD.

Ratchet and Clank is fun, but not enough.

I preferred Skate 2 on PS3 because of the controller's ease with the right stick, but that doesn't give me party chat with friends, and it doesn't give me achievements, and it just feels lonely, if you will.

Sony not putting money in multiplayer was a huge mistake. Huge.

I haven't really played the R&C series, so I can't speak to that. I just know most of the games I like are on 360, and I like the DLC available on 360 more in general.

I do love the Blu Ray player in the PS3, though.

Obviously the vast majority of gamers love FPS(on 360 and PS3) so which is it? Are they all idiots with no taste or are you just bias because you're obsessed with old games?

Okay, so the argument is that the PS3 is better because it has one game superior to some/most games for the 360? Sad.

I own both. The PS3 is tiresome. There are some good games on it (Ratchet and Clank, LBP, Uncharted 2), but it's not enough. The browser, the bluetooth, these are okay features, but not relevant enough. Xbox Live was a fantastic investment for Microsoft, and it shows.

PlayStation Home is terrible.

Well, I think Sony has sort of backed off the PS3 for a while and has been seriously working on their handhelds, because let me tell you, that PSP Go is a force to be reckoned with.
