2013 Retro Uprising Awards Nominations

It's that time of year again when we give props to the best of the best of RU. You have one week to put in your nominations for each of the categories. Keep in mind that these awards are for 2013 only.

Most Impressive Score - This is the high score that you think is the most impressive overall for the year, a score that in your opinion will stand for a very long time.

Most Impressive Game Clear - This is the player who beat that game that you thought couldn't be beat, but then someone did it anyways, sending your jaw dropping to the floor.

Funniest User - This is the user who always seems to make you laugh.

Best Forum Participant - This is the user who you think made the forums the most entertaining and lively.

Trophy Defender - This is a player who's score you keep on beating, only to have him/her come back and post a higher score constantly.

Best Mod - This is the moderator who you think was the most helpful, who you could count on to help you solve your problems the most.

Best Newcomer - The new member (their first post must be in 2013) who you think made the biggest positive impact to the RU forums or the arcade.

He's worked probably 10x more hours than the next mod. He's done some REALLY tedious work too.

Most Impressive Score - Jail Break - Arcade/Coin-Op - 9,999,900 by knt - 6 hour long game
DoDonPachi - Arcade/Coin-Op - 72,965,080 by JUL - Made the 2nd loop

Trophy Defender - Sawys- Him and I battled earlier in the year on a few titles.

Best Mod - Wolfman. No explanation needed.

Best Newcomer - TRB. Ballas. Sawys. TodayisForgotten

All of the game champ high scores are very impressive.

But that is too many to add to the voting list. So we need to narrow that down. What are the very best of that list.

I encourage everyone to post your personal best scores/clears of 2013. Nominate yourself in these two categories as it is very likely the most impressive score/clear on the site is known only to the person who set it.

I will go first - my best scores in 2013.
Double Dragon: Neo Geo - Arcade/Coin-Op
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story - Sega Genesis

I know those are not the best scores of last year but they are my 2013 personal best. I didn't clear any difficult games this year.
