Most aggravating enemies (and bosses) ever
What it says above, just post enemies and bosses that just pissed you off. Remember those times when you just stopped playing a game for long time because there was this jerk that kept on killing you or any other thing that kept on pissing you off? Well, now you can post about that stuff here! Ok, I'll start. Lakitu from smb. Those things just keep throwing endless amounts of spineys at you and killing you.

Re: Most aggravating enemies (and bosses) ever
There was a Sigma at the end of Megaman X 1,2, or 4. I cant remember which. He was really hard, I gave up never to return.

His first form was relativly easy, just a battle with him and his scyth, then you drop down and hes got these huge fists on rockets.

The four fiends in the DS remake of FFIV. Stopped playing for months because of that.

Re: Most aggravating enemies (and bosses) ever
We should probably limit this to just enemies since we already have a topic about bosses.
This topic would be lame if we didn't mention Medusa heads from Castlevania. I know some of you dudes claim they aren't that hard to deal with but for those of us who aren't obsessed with the series they sure are. I think they pretty much turned me off to the series, just so annoying.

The flying skeletons in Castlevania III. Move much more erratically than medusa heads.

Re: Most aggravating enemies (and bosses) ever
I know and I did kinda get used to it but they would always be at a spot that would screw me if I slipped up. A case of Nintendo difficulty. I appreciate challenging games but sometimes it stops being fun for me.

The Hammer Bro on the stairs on level 5-2. It's the only one in the game positioned like that, and its near impossibly to get by without getting hit .

Re: Most aggravating enemies (and bosses) ever
Zubat on Pokemon. It's easy to kill, but it is aggravating. Every four steps in a cave, a Zubat appears.

Re: Most aggravating enemies (and bosses) ever
Several enemies from Taloons come to mind. Those doll monsters that drop your level randomly when they attack you. The other monster that lowers your hit points. The mushroom dudes that lower your strength and those damn magicians that use sleep. The last one is manageable but sometimes they get to attack you when you can't defend yourself and then they become very lethal.
Also a dungeon crawler, Dragon Crystal. The enemies that steal your very important food supply. Those bastards can quickly ruin an awesome run by forcing you to either starve or go up a floor too early.

Any and all Pokemon that use Supersonic, Confuse Ray, or Thunder Wave. Combine confusion and paralysis, and you will almost never hit.

Re: Most aggravating enemies (and bosses) ever
I don't know if this entry fits the criteria of this thread but I remember having a difficult time making my way up the side of the sandcrawler in Super Star Wars » Super Nintendo.
Technically speaking I suppose a sandcrawler isn't even an enemy, but after what I went through to climb that sucker, it's an enemy of mine now!

Re: Most aggravating enemies (and bosses) ever
I think it counts as an enemy. It's one single being you're up against, right? But I guess that would kinda make it a boss.
Btw the King Frogogres from DW3 are one of the most annoying enemies I've ever fought. They like to show up in packs and they spam group sleep, with a high success rate. They aren't tough at all really but your whole party being asleep is usually a death sentence. I just had my party wiped out 3-4 times because of them.

Yeah I've encountered a few that call for help but so far nothing to worry about. Until they call something fierce it's just more exp.

The fleamen in any Castlevania game. Unpredictable hopping, combine with other enemies means death.

Yeah DB, those Taloons guys that steal your experience points and strength points are about as annoying as it gets.

The fact that it is permanent is the worst part.

Re: Most aggravating enemies (and bosses) ever
Well the strength isn't really permanent if you can find an antidote or strength seeds. I'm pretty sure the ones that steal your level give you back a level when you kill them, but you lose any exp you gained towards your next level. Still annoying though.
