Favorite Music
Well, this is my first topic in a long time and I've been listening to a lot of music lately instead of playing games so I will start a topic on your favorite albums. Well, I'll start with one of my favorite album's 1982's the Hurting. Includes songs such as Pale Shelter, Suffer the Children, and of course, due to Gary Jules cover and Gears of War, Mad World

I've been listening to a lot of Tears for Fears music lately for some reason. Maybe because I can relate to some of the lyrics due to constant insults from those stupid "cool kids", my whole group of friends and I are kind of outcasts. We like classic games, we like a lot of old (for 13, 14, year olds anyway) music like Pink Floyd, AC DC, Beatles, etc. People think we're weird for liking old stuff but we like it. Well, anyway discuss your favorite artists, songs, etc. Well, rock, pop, rap, on!

Re: Favorite Music
Music! My favorite topic.
Favorite albums at the moment:
Binary Star - Masters of the Universe. Binary Star is a wonderful rap duo from Detroit. Unfortunately, they only made 2 albums, and the second one (Masters of the Universe) is just a revamped version of the first (Waterworld). They broke up due to creative differences.
Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue. Always a favorite of mine. I love Miles Davis so much.
Flogging Molly - Everything. Nothing like Irish punk rock. Gotta love it.
I am also pretty excited for the new Gorillaz album coming out. That'll be sweet.
But my all time favorite band is Only Minutes To A Sexier You (maybe because I am in it). Go my band!

Re: Favorite Music
Hey! good topic. Try these bands.
At the Gates
Sepultura
Arch Enemy
Down
The Haunted
These are just a few.
My reccomendations for specific albums would be
At the Gates: Slaughter of the Soul
Down: Anything they do is alright in my book
Sepultura: Same as Down, They tear it up
Arch Enemy: Get the second album.
The Haunted: Get the second album.

Haha. We are working on it buddy. I will certainly let you know. And probably post any new recordings here. It is sounding pretty awesome right now.
Rambo: You are so far the only one on this site with a taste in music similar to mine. I mean, it isn't that similar, but I love Charlie Parker, Dizzie Gilespie, and Squarepusher. And Miles Davis. And John Coltrane and Thelonious Monk. All the essentials

Re: Favorite Music
my favorite genre is most definately jazz. I listen to modern and the good old kind. I like john coltrane, kenny garrett (not kenny g the big nosed jewish soprano player) charlie parker, dizzy gillespie, miles davis, thad jones, charles mingus, miles davis, chuck mangione (ha ha ha), wynton marsalis, and michael brecker.
I also like that big band stuff like... count basie (only cuz my band director is addicted to him), clayton hamilton jazz orchestra, tower of power and probably more..
i also like to listen to classic rock...beatles, zeppelin, ozzy, queen
oh yeah and spinal tap (one of the greatest rock bands ever)

Re: Favorite Music
Uh dudes, all this talk of people calling people dudes and not one mention of this dude(bro)? I'm sad. :P
I'll start by saying I'm a wierdo and I don't like much music. That being said the stuff I do like has to mean something.
I love Queen/Johnny Cash/Willy Nelson/Tu Pac/Pearl Jam/Tom Petty and Bob Dylan.
I guess thats not as few as I thought.
Is it wrong that Regina Spektors "Fidelity"(think thats the title, on my PC it's listed as 'it breaks my heart') makes me wanna cry?(not the studio version, the live version)

Dudebro has entered the building. This is the coolest thing in the history of coolness. huh-huh-huh
Wait a minute! I just saw a really bad commercial. An advertisement for a new album by Ashley Tisdale, from that awful movie High School Musical. They played a clip of her music and it's Lindsey Lohan-esque trash.
