Not that you can complain. The Sega CD is only really worth playing to see how bad it was. Just be happy that most the stuff here is grade A stuff. Truly worth it. I see no nostaligic value in the Sega CD, but that's just my opinion.

The sequel to Out of This World, Heart of an Alien, was a Sega CD exclusive and one of the best games ever.

Several other Sega CD games are worth a look for the pure novelty/historical factor but that wears off in a day or two.

I too have seen that AVGN Video. I remember I used to have like Sewer Shark or whatever. But my knowledge of that system is really only limited to knowing it wasn't that great. I could be wrong, and there could be a whole bunch of amazing games. But until I play one myself, I stick by my opinions.

CD files are too large and just aren't really compatible with the internet, RU is one of the only sites to have snes, so we are lucky.

Though the question is, why SHOULD it be added? Sure it has Sonic CD in it and Snatcher was awesome but most of it is awful FMV games.

Heart of the Alien was indeed awesome!

I am a huge fan of the Sega CD, but not for the FMV games that people seem to think was all that was out there.

Of course, as many of you know, I still think that Eternal Champions: Challenge From The Darkside (-aka- EC:CD) is still one of the best fighting gamwes ever made.

I also think there were a lot of other games like Genesis titles which benefited greatly from Sega CD's better sound/video processor. One of my favorites is the Sega CD version of Flashback: The Quest for Identity. Another good upgraded title was Hook.

Good point Chuck.

I am also a big Sega CD defender in general because even the games that were not original games were still souped up better versions of Genesis games. Flashback is another great example. The sounds alone was just wayyyyy better in the SCD version.

I think the argument against and for the sega cd is the same as the argument we had for and against the 32X add in actually. I am pretty sure that the only actual problem would be the file size. there's only so much the net can take after all.

just for curiosities sack, whats the biggest (file size) game on site? Is it still the coin op street fighter game? or has a new big bad boy taken the stage?

I would think it would be Die Hard for the Coin Op.
