There was this old shooting game on either NES or SNES where you were in an airplane blowing up other planes. If I could help any more I would but that's about all I can remember so if you can help, that would be great.

It's kinda like raiden x but the plane was an old model plane with propellers, you would get shot by tanks and stuff too.

@Everyone: "like Raiden X" means its a top down shooter. He also said you controlled a plane that had propellers but it wasn't 1942/1943. This narrows it pretty well.
