The Bosten Celtics just clinched the NBA finals over the Los Angles Lakers in 6 games as they just blew out the the Lakers by 39 in a 131-92 rout. Finals MVP is Paul Pierce

I'm a long time Lakers fan and I can accept the fact that the better team won (although it's a little hard for me to say the Boston Celtics were the better team, grew up in the 80's

). I am happy to see Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers finally win rings, they have put in their time. It's going to be a interesting off-season to see what the teams do to improve.

I've never seen one of my teams win a championship in my lifetime. To add insult to injury, the one that actually has is going to move to Oklahoma City. The Mariners won't be any good for five years and are currently the worst team in the majors. At least the Seahawks have been successful.

Marlins (1997,2003)
Heat(05-06)

Made it to the finals

Eagles (2005)
Panthers (95-96)

Made it to the conference finals

Eagles (2002,2003,2004)
Heat (04-05)

.... and now look at south florida, we're suffering the hopes we had so far was the Canes basketball team which lost in the second round to Texas and Canes baseball team which just lost to Stanford and is now eliminated from the CWS and the Marlins and Rays..... which has are best hopes yet

This reminds me, I was going to post something earlier but I forgot. The Red Wings are the 2008 stanley cup champions! 4th time in 11 years! go wings!! ;D ;D

I guess it kind of makes up for the fact that the other detroit teams have sucked for most of my life.

and they won the finals in 2004

while the tigers have been doing much better these last few years.

now the lions........ root for the browns ;D

the lions did pretty good last season, they just had the packers to deal with. i think the lions could compete for a division tittle next year and so can me eagles. ;D but the dolphins........ thats when i say root for the browns

Yeah I forgot about the pistons, but I really don't pay that much attention to basketball, I can't stand watching it. The Tigers have been doing better lately, but they did suck for most of my life (at least as far back as I can remember). The Lions have been terrible for as long as I can remember too.

If they boot kitna and get a decent quarterback then they could do well, they did fairly well last year, it was a big surprise to see.
