Space Fury "bad" rom

Dear RU
You are using a VERY bad rom of the classic "Space Fury" . The sound is terrible and at a wrong, too fast speed. One of the more fun aspects of this game is to hear the alien taunt you in his slow monotonous synthesized voice . And several other sound effects are missing too. I'm sure you'll agree that the sound of a game is very important and not just the gameplay. Btw I came across this corrupted rom in my private mame games but I soon changed it to a proper one.
So ..Please! Consider changing it too.
Cheers
Doron

NB
I'm talking about the coin-operated arcade version.

Well I would agree that proper sound is nice but to me the gameplay is the most important.

That being said I believe the rom set they are using is what is called revision C and it is customary to use the latest rom set at this site since there are many fixes made by the manufacturer in the later rom sets. In that set the voice is different. You must be using either Set A or B.

Also many of the sounds for this game are generated by Samples currently and I don't believe this site supplies them which could account for many of the missing sounds.

Cheers

Re: Space Fury "bad" rom

You're right ,Elrod . Indeed,RU uses revision C whereas I use revision A.
I understand that it is customary to use the latest rom but in this case I wish they'll make an exception and use the " oldie but goodie " rom.
Cheers
