yes, astro invader is harder.
i copied this from MARP, something i wrote a while back:
when i was a boy, the local cab (taxi) office had 2 machine's in there. one of the last ones i remember was a game called zygon.
it was a Kamikaze/kosmo killer clone. i spent aeons looking for the rom for my bro to play. he worked there and played every day. i only played it once for real, i was terrible, as i only knew space invaders by then. after a couple of years, i found the kamikaze rom. i could not find the zygon clone. not even on google in any form.
then i got an x arcade stick, so invited my bro round to surprise him.
i got it up on the screen all secretive like, and offered him to play.
he said "ain't you got defender?" and tried that instead. ungrateful tosser!!!
strange how it does not exist as far as my search went.
the moral of the story is:
"BIG BROTHER. WHAT A B*ST*RD!"
then i found this, very interesting:
STERN ELECTRONICS, INC. v. KAUFMAN | Leagle.com
they were ripp off merchants, releasing games under different names.
click links on left for rip off's of pacman and stratavox

i was aying in Coop's reputation:
"yes, astro invader is not a proper clone to me, as it is different in many ways. different layout, different amount of space ships, and a different count"...
