Hey chaps!
i think a score of mine may have been overlooked?
it is for kamikaze, and my score was 130,450 . shows only ass 30,450 as the score rolled over.

May I suggest that in the future you put in the notes that the score was rolled otherwise the mod has no way of knowing and will just post the score without viewing the video.

For some crazy reason, I really enjoy this game. It's one that I'll keep playing no matter who has the high score. You've certainly given me something to shoot for. I need to learn how to count to 16 while still clearing waves. Right now, I can play the game for a really long time (51 waves is my best so far) but when I start doing the count thing, I don't survive very long.

Now if we could just get RU to add Astro Invader but I'm afraid to ask because it's officially a clone. That's the game I found in a nickel arcade as a kid and got hooked on. It's also much more difficult as not only do you need to keep count of shots but memorize what order the space ships come out. I was getting pretty good at the game before I found RU and now I never play because I'm too lazy to fire up MAME.

yes, astro invader is harder.
i copied this from MARP, something i wrote a while back:

when i was a boy, the local cab (taxi) office had 2 machine's in there. one of the last ones i remember was a game called zygon.
it was a Kamikaze/kosmo killer clone. i spent aeons looking for the rom for my bro to play. he worked there and played every day. i only played it once for real, i was terrible, as i only knew space invaders by then. after a couple of years, i found the kamikaze rom. i could not find the zygon clone. not even on google in any form.
then i got an x arcade stick, so invited my bro round to surprise him.
i got it up on the screen all secretive like, and offered him to play.
he said "ain't you got defender?" and tried that instead. ungrateful tosser!!!
strange how it does not exist as far as my search went.
the moral of the story is:
"BIG BROTHER. WHAT A B*ST*RD!"

Interesting story. Never heard of Zygon.

The weird thing about Kamikize/Astro Invader is that at least in North America, Astro Invader is the much more popular game but for reason Kamikaze is listed as the parent. For Arcade games, TG only tracks Astro Invader which makes it unique in that they usually only track the parent. This is just an unusual situation but I don't blame RU for not wanting to have all the different rom versions of games.
