So no more speculation, the official announcement of the release dates at Gamescom:

15th November - NA
29th November - Europe
Im hoping we get it same date as Europe (sometimes its later)

Released in 32 countries. Didnt say which.

Key points:

All PS4 games will be available to play on PS Vita via remote play. Pretty cool
14 day PS Plus subscription for free with purchase of console.
Driveclub available for play for free with the free subscription

Gran Turismo 6 out Dec. 6 globally (PS3)

I know this is off topic and all...
Should I sell my PS3 to save up money for a PS4 or keep the PS3 and wait a bit for the PS4?
I've told my parents about the idea, but they didn't seem too happy because I kept nagging them for a PS3 a year ago. I love my PS3 and all, but it'll be old news, and I can't stand having a decade old product when the new one has been released. Help!

In all honesty, I would just keep the PS3 and start saving up! First, You won't be able to get a PS4 soon as it comes out anyway UNLESS YOU have already pre-ordered it because they are all sold out already, pre-order and all, Second is that your not going to get much for a PS3 anyway wether you go to a gamestop ( They will only give you $40 cash anyhow ) or you sell it online, Someone is always gonna talk you down. Myself, I collect everything Game related so Personally I would just make do for right now.

Why the rush to get the brand new thing when you haven't even had the PS3 all that long. Consider this:

-There are a lot of PS3 games you probably haven't played that you can get cheaper than any new PS4 game.
-Games will likely be few and far between at launch(as it usually is for all systems)
-There could be system killing faults again in the early models(360 and red ring of death, ps3 and yellow light of death)

The game I'm waiting for is Battlefield 4 I know iI should get it for the PS3 but i rather see who's online on the ps4 when B4 comes out.

I definitely agree with this however my PS3 suffered from YLOD a month or so ago so Ill get a PS4 as soon as possible.
It will be disappointing not being able to play GTA5 and GT6 when they come out, but at least Ill have a headstart on the PS4 library

Add me to the list of people who regret getting rid of systems and games. I do however think buying a system or handheld at launch is not a bad idea, provided there is at least 1 game you really want.

As others have chimed in I agree with this. I've sold a system once in my life, I wanted a gameboy color really bad so I sold a play station and all games alone with a genesis and all games. Worst mistake ever. I recently just got a genesis back and it's been over 10 years.

Pretty strong list if you ask me. Games in bold are ones I want to at least try. I think that justifies a purchase when the console comes out

Plenty of decent games that are coming out later on too
