To be honest, I'm not too excited about E3 this year. All three consoles are clearly on the way out, and neither handheld has made me genuinely excited about them so far.

Anyways...show runs from June 5-7 this year.

The Big 3 conferences:
Microsoft - 10AM PT/1PM ET/6PM GMT on Monday June 4
Sony - 6PM PT/9PM ET on Monday June 4, 2AM GMT on Tuesday June 5
Nintendo - 9AM PT/12PM ET/5PM GMT on Tuesday June 5

The 3DS version of Castlevania is all but confirmed, pleeeeeease make it 2d.

No, 2.5D looked quite abysmal in Dracula X Chronicles.
It just doesn't fit the art direction and overall aesthetic of the Castlevania series.

Regardless, I don't see E3 this year being all that great.
Like you said, the consoles are nearing the end of their time and the handhelds are not particularly exciting, at least not to me.

Yeah, 2.5D would be better than full blown 3rd person 3d, but straight up 2d is where it's at.

Expect Microsoft to have a really boring show. People think it will just be apps, Kinect and Halo4. There's rumors of some new exclusive IP but if it's true it will probably suck.

I think the current generaton of consoles still have alot of potential, but right now all the consumer wants is FPS so it gives the developers no chance to really create something new and interesting.....IMO

Sony is going to push the Move and Vita again I'm sure. They've already came out and said this year was a "massive relaunch" for the Move.

The Move isn't bad but nothing worth a crap uses it(and if a game does have Move support, it has regular controls as well so no one will use the move). I only have 3 games that use it, one came packaged with the move and works well(Sports Champions), Heavy Rain works ok but I'd rather use the regular controls, and it sucks in High Velocity Bowling.

I want to see something on The Last Guardian, but apparently it's in development hell with little progress and no release date anytime soon.

"Videogames" are interactive movies now, honeypots for idiots with extra cash to spend. I just can't respect myself if I play into the hype of a game conference (and videogame industry) that hasn't been good in years. Look around you, all the best games are on this website :P

Expect at least one 3D remake of an N64 game on the 3DS. Likely something about the Wii U. If there's a demo, it will highlight how well the tablet would work for inventory management in a game.
At least one continuation of a lackluster PS3 series on the Vita.

Thanks for the share, quite an interesting read, indeed. I'm aware that it's all up to Crytek now, so the game technically could happen, but until it does, I'm not supporting Crytek. Crytek has been expected to finish TS4, but they don't, year after year. They suck in my opinion. Plain and simple.

I only want Doom 4 if it has the original design aspects involved. Doom 3 was ok, but Doom 1 is better because of it's super fast movement, insane maps, and satanic symbolism. I want ID to say "You know screw it, we are going to make this for the 10,000 people that appreciate it and everyone else can go play call of duty and suck their thumbs."

I'm sorry if I come of bitter guys, I normally don't care when people do things I think are stupid. It's just that this side of gaming has such a loud voice in our pop culture these days, it's hard to go a day without reading some videogame blasphemy and not get upset. When people are wrong, I don't care. When people are wrong and they speak loudly is when it starts to get on my nerves. It's reality vs hype. When someone tries to fool you, it's insulting.

Doom 4 would be cool for sure. Anyone Ever try final doom? It's way more insane than the first 2, same type of design, it was just built to be brutal.
