The Game Mod Challenge!

There is a personal vendetta I have against the Game Mod Crew. They're lazy and good for nothing. This contest is specifically for these people:

BRODYMAN
jeckel22
Kraemer
Nina
Rune5
Sabby
TrakMastaTom

Let me first explain the contest. There will be two parts to this.

Part one, The Challenge

The seven of you will have seven days to put up the highest scores in seven random arcade (not coin-op) games. After that full week I will have only 24 hours to steal at least one high score.

Part two, The Trivia

I will submit 21 questions about games found on this site. The seven of you may work together for another seven days and try to some up with the 30 correct answer to every question. All answers will be game titles found on this site. You may only submit 20 answers, but this allows you a free pass on one question. You must get all answers right to win.

The rewards:

If I win only one part, you must complete modding of the NES archive in two weeks. If I win both parts, you must complete BOTH the NES and hack archives in four weeks and I get a "Game Mods Suck" badge.

Brody, as the Chief Game Mod it will be up to you to accept or chicken out like a little girl. You will also have to come up with suitable prizes for your team winning that I must agree to.

You have three days to decide. :baby:

So let me get this straight, every trivia question has 30 answers. Some quick math here 30 X 21 = 630 game titles:wow:. I am sorry you feel we are lazy, I just started as a game mod so I do not know when this all started. I'm game if everyone else is, problem is if the seven of us lose, some might slack on Tenser's prize. An idea for a prize would be a badge of Tenser's avatar with a red face looking more pissed off than he already is.

Sorry, typo. There will be 21 questions, each with one correct answer. You only have to answer 20 out of the 21 and pass on the extra one.

Sort of. During the first part I'll be holding a second contest for anyone who isn't on the list. For the second part anyone not on the list can submit their answers to me by PM for points.

So now, what's this all about?

Define "random arcade games" is that our choice, your choice or truly randomized? And you only need to beat one? That sounds a little lopsided...in fact, both parts sound lopsided; we need to answer 20 of your 21 questions and get every one that we answer correct?

Don't get me wrong...I'm game...but these seem like some long odds, if you're picking the games and asking all the questions.

You feel its lopsided? I felt like I was being quite fair.

Part One: The odds are literally 7:1. There are seven of you to just one of me. You also get seven days to my one. Since there are seven games you could literally all work on one game each day. I'd only have one day to pick my best chance and beat all seven of your high scores in that game. It's not like you're a bunch of newbs either, yourself, Coz, Sab, TMT, jeckel. I mean, seriously I'd probably end up being screwed.

Also the arcade games will be chosen randomly. I'm just going to go to the random tab and pick off the first seven score saving games I come to. If you don't trust me have someone else do it, whatever.

Part Two: Yes I'm asking all the questions but again, there's seven of you, some with some pretty good game knowledge. The questions will be just like the old Trivia Bowling we had on onVGP. Most people had 10-14 right, and that's just one person....

And as for my "prize". All I'm really having you do is what you're suppose to be doing anyways right?

If anything, I'm the one who's being screwed here. I'll need a friggen' miracle (and a SNES controller) to win. But if you still think I'm being unfair, go on ahead and decline, sissies.

I never said I was out. Even if it's just me and Sabby moving forward, I already said I'm game. I also never complained about the prize.

You have 7 chances to beat our scores, with full knowledge of what you have to beat, and you're giving us 20 chances to fail with the trivia.

You and I will just have to agree to disagree about your chances.

Lemme know what our games are.

Considering there are two parts, shouldn't there be two prizes? I like sabby's idea if we win both. I think TMT's idea is kinda the same (it just has a title for the badge).Second ideas?.........2 weeks paid vacation......just kidding. How about everlasting gobstoppers?

Alright, game mods, please chime in if you're not up to these terms. Should we lose, whether you participate or not, you are responsible for ~14% of the games in either 2 or 4 weeks.

Tenser, here's our end of the deal. Should we win both parts:

We are under no additional obligation to complete your tasks in the given time frame.
Each game mod participating in the contest will get a "red Tenser" badge of their choice (kong willing), either, pissedtenser.jpg, or chicktenser.jpg.
You will have to display a formal apology to game mods everywhere in your signature, 1 font size larger than default (kong willing). The apology will read: "Game mods rock! I will never doubt you again."

Should we split the contest, your terms will apply, with one exception. You will help us, and will be responsible for half as many games as you would be, were you a game mod. Since there are 7 of us, you would be the 8th. 1/8 = 12.5%, half of which, is 6.25%. or roughly 75 games.

Game mods, again, we have about another 24 hours to amend these terms and agree. If I hear nothing, and Tenser agrees, this will happen as is listed in this post! Try to chime in.

For one month (30 days). I wont add anything permanent to my signature unwillingly. Agreed?
