Re: Favorite new pokemon?
I'm not sure yet. Stoutland, Gigalith, Conkeldurr, Krookodile are all pretty sweet.

Re: Favorite new pokemon?
Whichever one was named "Gear" in the Japanese version, I think his name is something lame like "Klink" now, but he is still a gear, and thus is still the greatest.

Re: Favorite new pokemon?
No, you must be thinking of Audino, which is basically the Metal Slime of pokemon.

Re: Favorite new pokemon?
As in, it gives a TON of xp. If you have a level 1 go out first against a level 65 one, then switch it out, its guaranteed to gain like 30 levels, due to scaling xp.
Hydreigon, however, is this thing.

Re: Favorite new pokemon?
What is this about scaling brawlmaster? Does a level one get more experience than a level thirty now? That would not be cool.

Re: Favorite new pokemon?
Fighting a level 60 Audino with a level 1 getting all the xp would give it at least 55k xp, where a pokemon at level 60 would probably get 6500 or so. Sure, they made it easier to level up low level pokemon, but around level 90 and up, it takes a century and a half to get to level 100.

Re: Favorite new pokemon?
So basically, it makes it easier if you are incompetent and choose to only level up one Pokemon to get you through the entire game, then you suddenly decide to train others?
That is really dumb, I hate scaling XP in any game, especially if you can exploit it like in Pokemon, having your weak Pokemon go first, then switching him out so you can destroy the opponent with a strong Pokemon. You could do that before, but with the scaling it is probably much worse. It would feel like cheating to me, like when I start with anything and switch it out for something overpowered just so the weak Pokemon gets a little bit of XP.
