Castlevania Help

So I picked up Castlevania(nes) on the Wii back in June and I was wondering if anyone has any strategies to beat Frankentstein. He was much, much easier to beat in Castlevania III.

He is a pain because he can take a lot of abuse. It also depends which path you take. If you are on the path with the orange rock ceiling, there is a really cheap way to beat him that involves having holy water and Grant DeNasty. There is a way to get above the ceiling using Grant, once you are there, you can not be hit with the falling rocks. Just rain down the holy water. Be careful, there is an invisible gap in that ceiling that you can fall through. If you try to fight him legit, make sure you have the holy water as it is most effective. You can hide under the stairs and use your weapons. If you go the way with the green blocks, just holy water and whip the crap out of him, try your best to avoid the falling rocks.

EDIT: Doh....I thought you wanted to him how to beat him in III. In the original, have holy water, as the music starts, run right up to Frank and Igor, and just start launching holy water, it should freeze him in place as long as you keep throwing. If Igor gets away, just let him go and keep working on Frank, do your best to avoid him if you can.

He's talking about the first Castlevania, he said he beat Frankenstein in Castlevania III.

Okay:
You need to hit Igor to temporarily stop him from attacking, then get a few hits on Frankenstein until Igor starts moving again. Just repeat that until you win.

Holy water (firebomb) is the best sub-weapon for the fight.
