Remember the name

I'm trying to remember the name of a Sega game. I can't really remember much about it, except we had to choose from four characters, named Ayami, Kitaro, Kindenbo and Shinseiro (sp?). There was a boss at the end of each stage, and in the final stage, all the characters combine to fight the main boss. So, any help?

When you say "Sega", do you mean the Master System, the Genesis, or something else?

Also, judging by the characters' names, was this a Japanese game and/or was it released in English?

I'm pretty sure it was the SMS, because we had a lot of games for that. It's definitely Japanese, and I don't think an English version was released. Does this mean I won't find the game on RU?
