While 2000-2010 had an amazing line up of new games, some games failed to
live up to the hype and only 10 can be called the greatest disappointments of the
decade.

Personally, I don't agree with Doom 3 being on this list, it was an awesome game.

Haha. I was reading the comments and some one an irate dude left, saying that they put Perfect Dark Zero on this list, but they gave it a 9.0 review when it was released. I looked it up and sure enough...

Doom3 was not bad but it was considered a disappointment to some fans. I don't think it deserves to be on this list though.

Fable was not a bad game either. It was a success and many people love it. It's like these guys are just picking games they didn't enjoy personally without considering how well it was received.

I agree with those, Tony Hawk Ride should have been on that list.
That game got so much hype and it still is one of the worst sports games of all time.

Same could be said for the overhyped Castlevania: Judgment on the Wii.

But Devil May Cry 2, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Daikatana all deserve a place on this list.

I never played a single one, but their reasoning behind metal gear 2 was retarded. Sure he looked dumb doing naked cartwheels, but I'm assuming that was only one level or so.

I thought the naked cartwheels were hilarious and wasn't he supposed to be some kind of ninja? If so I think a ninja would be qualified to do nude no hand cartwheels if he lost his clothes. At least it wasn't snake.

It was a very short segment, and you didn't have to cartwheel to progress through that area.

I'm in disbelief it made the list. From my memory it was one of the most popular games out there at the time and it held my attention long enough...

Out of the 10 000 some games made in the last decade probably half of them were bigger disapointments than fable... How can fable even be called a disapointment?

Found the PC version online for $15. I'll do some research.

I'm not subscribed to a rental service so I don't really rent unless you count my digital cable's videos on demand section.

15 bucks is a great price for it. I doubt you'll regret it. You may not fall in love with it but I think you can appreciate how fun it is and the love the devs put into the game.
