Sony Move
Decent coverage
Engadget
It only dawned on me today why this is such a smart idea for sony. Wii developers will port their games over to playstation.

Re: Sony Move
I'm not so sure about how smart this is. I'm not suggesting it's a dumb Idea, but I'm trying to think of games that use the wii-mote that are really good. Obviously kart, wii sports and other nintendo owned games arnt going to go to ps3, after that there isnt much left. Potentially some good fps's or racing games though.

Re: Sony Move
It'll fail. No IR, no improvement. Sony has stated it intends to attract the Wii casual crowd over with this.
I don't see someone who already has motion bowling, golf, ping pong, and swordfighting spending $350 for a console and another $100 for a MOVE to get bowling, golf, ping pong, and swordfighting again.

Re: Sony Move
Sony is just trying to get ahead of Xboxs Project Natal. They probably rushed it and they'll add IR later. I have no info on it but I bet Microsoft isn't rushing so they can get it right.

Gaming ends at motion controls for me, since motion controls suck, imo of course.

I'm not a huge fan of motion controls but I think anything that adds to the gaming experience is a good thing.

Re: Sony Move
I never play my 360 or wii. Or Xbox original for that matter, once in a while of course, but rarely.

I love the IR. Motion controls are meh, even with the wm+ and 1:1 ratio.

Re: Sony Move
lol of course it's going to suck thats not the point I'm trying to make.
It's a developer move. Why buy an XBOX when ps3 is a little bit 360, a little bit wii ? PS3 is designed for a 10 year term, out living the current gen (ala ps2 last gen) and racking in the money while other companies are on the next gen. I'll be surprised if wii games are in development past 2013. I won't be surprised if there are still PS3 games past 2013.

Re: Sony Move
most consoles run 4-6 years before a new console from that company is made. Although PS1 made some games until PS3 was made making a total of 12 years... sorta.

I lost weight because of the Wii...yes I used to be fat, I love motion controls especially on the Wii because they're a break from the norm of sitting on your ass and pushing buttons. imo the Wii is way better than the 360 (Don't kill me) The only reason I have a PS3 is because of the MLB the Show Series, I know they're on PS2 but I have a flat screen TV and they look nice on it.

Re: Sony Move
I wish games for the Wii had an option for both the motion controls or the Gamecube controls, because motion control fails.

IR = infra red
wm+ = wii motion plus
1:1 = perfect motion ratio

Well aren't YOU cool. Wait until you have a job and school and a girlfriend and don't have time for organized sports and see how easy it is to find time to exercise.

But the 360 is coming out with the Natal, which is going for the same audience, except less of a blatant rip off. I don't know if that will help or hurt Microsoft frankly.

Yeah, according to Sony. Who knows what will actually come of that. Also, the 360 came out a full year before the Wii and PS3, and has done pretty well. I don't think coming out first was a bad thing for them at all.

I am also an excellent swimmer because of the fact that I own lake property, my family does anyways. I don't play any sports during the winter anymore, but I'm sure I'll be doing a lot more skiing when I move to BC.

Re: Sony Move
I don't think anyone but fanboys still have faith in the Natal. Not claiming DB is one though. I do agree with the point that at least Microsoft is attempting something slightly different.
