Favourite past tv shows
I'd just like to know everyones favourite past tv shows, that meaning, shows that no longer run that just are plain awesome
In my opinion, My favourite past show is Home Improvement, I have a great memory, so I remember thiis show from when I was really young.
My brother found out it still plays on a channel called CMT, I've been watching it every night it's on (mon, tues, wed, Thurs).
I really doubt that channel is on in the states as it's first initial is "C" probably meaning canadian Something-Something.
But yeah, that's my favourite past show.

Married with Children is the only sitcom that makes me L-O-L for realz. I've seen every episode multiple times and it's still funny.

Re: Favourite past tv shows
Married with Children was another show I never could see. It was on at the same time as another show the fam watched (Star Trek: The Next Generation I think), so I never go to see it. I used to see the commercials, though, and I remember them being funny (Simpsons or All In The Family like somehow).

M.A.S.H. was and is still in my top 5 shows of all time (Along with Stargate SG-1, Star Trek, and Doctor Who and a few others). My favorite characters were Major Charles Winchester III and Hawkeye. Great stuff that!

Re: Favourite past tv shows
MASH was alright. At first I hated it because it meant it was getting late(it used to air around 3am when I was a teenager and didn't have cable). After being forced to watch it(again, no cable) I learned to like it. I don't like Hawkeye but the rest of them are pretty funny. I agree with WB Winchester was funny, much better than Frank Burns.
Btw I was reading about Al Bundy and I found out he earned a black belt in Brazilian Ju Jitsu
I didn't believe Wikipedia so I checked the source....
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3yjN1KrqfM"]YouTube - al bundy gets black belt[/ame]
That's Rorion Gracie giving him his belt. For those of you who don't know him he's a 9th degree ju jitsu black belt, the only person to hold that title. He's also one of the founders of the UFC.
To be fair it took Al Bundy 15 years to get his belt but he started in his 40s, quite an accomplishment either way.

Re: Favourite past tv shows
Im also a fan of Dr. Who and Star Trek TNG. I never got into SG-1 but I did like the movie.
Another show I loved growing up was Amazing Stories and the Storyteller...pretty much anything that had fantasy in it and one of my Top 5
Red Dwarf

I may or may not have spoken on this but I was really into Fraggle Rock when I was a kid. I can't remember much about it but I do remember watching it intently all the time.

Weren't both of those canceled very early Kong?
Another one I liked a lot was Roseanne. Laugh if you want but that show was actually good.
Also Dead Like Me was a good show.

Re: Favourite past tv shows
I think the Deadwood writers were expecting 4 seasons but only got 3 so they had to rush through the 3rd.
Firefly got totally screwed and had to rush through their story and finish in a movie and comic books. It had a lot of wasted potential.
Both were still some of the best TV ever.
The new Battlestar Galatatica was decent.

That show looks like its a take on the Chinese tale of the Monkey King mythology. Thats also some of the insperation behind Dragon Ball and a lot of other anime. I might have to check it out.

Wonder Years was a good show indeed. I remember I used to have a major crush on Winney (maybe unconsciously that was a factor in my name). What a little she was.
