@tenser it does not work in full mode? I have a problem in score mode but no problems with full you could even get xpadder and then it would work for sure in full mode.
@ anyone else does anyone know why I cant update my first post. it wont let me edit it at all there is not even an edit button
@count thanks and that sucks for tournaments but oh well
How to record a movie for the tournament
( Click to show/hide )
To record a video
Step 1:
Select file from the game menu
Step 2:
Select record a movie
Step 3:
In the save address filed by default it is set to arcadeOX temp SNES file
To make getting the movie file easier select browse and select your desktop to save the file there
Step 4:
Save the file as Username_CourseName_MarioKart
Step 5
Start playing the course
Step 6:
When you have your time
Select file movie stop
Step 7
Send an email to retrouprisingtournament@yahoo.com
with your username and attach your movie file to the email
(there should be no need to zip the movie file it should be small enough)
you can submit a run as many times as you want but only 1 race per movie
so if you want to submit a time of 1:30 send an email with that time but then later that day get a time of 1:25 you can submit that too just dont make two runs on one movie
NOTE
you must record the video from the start of the race with the count down untill the times appear at the end of the race (please let the movie run a bit after you complete the time trial)
I will only accept the times that is flashing at the end of the video all other times will be ignored
@tenser let me look around for a solution for you because I have been working with it alot lately what controller are you using is it a 360 controller or an actual game pad also if using a 360 controller did you install the Microsoft xbox 360 accessories v 1.1 if not I can find the download link and that may solve the 360's problems
@tail recording is really really easy basically the hard part is telling it to save some where else but with that you just push browse and select the desk top its that simple
I could make screen shots if needed but the record process is just 3 clicks and your recording 1 click stop recording nothing hard at all.
If you guys even need a video of how it works I will make a video and post it to youtube for you guys to watch
yes I can and here you go the easiest way to get you playing on you tube.
1. download cam studio
2. use cam studio to record you playing
3. edit the video into 9 min segments
4. post to you tube.
kong asked a long time ago if I could make a tutorial to use cam studio which I will do again if people still want because the first one did not come out so well but only by request its really simple just push record select recording area and your recording
if you were asking about recording directly from SNES that wont work for you tube because the save file is saved in .smv format which only plays with the SNES player which I would use to verify your times in this contest
Well not to track this offtopic, but does cam studio record sound? meaning taking it from the sound card so it don't record every sudden movement you make. I got Hypercam 2.
@ tails yes cam studio can track in game sounds (it depends on your computers sound card acctually some sound cards wont do it like mine wont)
@tanc its not to late
current participants

Kong
Tails
Tanc
count
remember this is becoming more of a test contest to she what we can do with the new snes games so the more people the better
because it seems people are still worried about the recording process I will make a video tutorial tomorrow on how to do it just to show how easy it is
@ tenser nice its not that hard to play with the keyboard just change the controls to have the jump button right next to the gas button so you dont have to reach for it.
@everyone else
