March Madness Brackets!

It seems like were going to be able to get a decent sized group for a March Madness contest, so I created a group on espn.com. Here is the link to the tournament challenge front page:

If you don't have an account, you'll have to make one, but it's easy and the interface pretty much explains the process. The name of the group is "retro uprising" and the password is "buckeyes". I apologize for only posting this today but I've been very busy for the past week and a half.

The first round games start on Thursday at noon, so make sure you have your picks in by then!

That's strange how you bracket got moved. I remember seeing it earlier in the week.

As of right now, your bracket is doing way better than mine since you still have all of your Sweet 16 teams still playing.

dicky still has all of his Final Four teams. WOW!! It's been a decent tourney this year. I need for there to be a non-repeat of last year's championship game to have ANY chance.

Every year I think KU will not choke, despite the fact that I don't like them I think no, this is the year, and then they choke.

At least as long as I keep picking them they will keep losing.

I liked all four of my Final Four teams because they all have strong guard play with at least one lights out shooter acccompanied by athletic big men who can play defense. Ohio State might not win it all, but I don't know how you couldn't give them an edge against any of the three teams remaining. Their only knock is that they dont have much depth (has any team ever lost more than Ohio State when Othello Hunter comes in for Greg Oden?) but none of the teams remaining have a very deep bench. Roy Williams at UNC definitely had the luxury of being able to play 9 or 10 people and not lost anything. I couldn't believe the way they imploded in the final 5 minutes of regulation and then not scoring a single point in the extra period.

And Hobbes, as far as Kansas goes I was shocked they made it as far as they did.

My problems is I watch a lot of B12 games, and not so much else. I have a bias therefore.

The Ohio State was lucky against Xavier. and George Town walked 2 games ago.

Kansas can be the best team in the country...the problem is their inconsistency.

Ohio State just wanted to get some late game situation practice against Xavier. Against Tennessee they wanted to practice playing catch up. Thad Matta told his guys to do those things...haha.

As far as G Town walking to get past Vandy, you're absolutely right. That was a horrible no call. I forget who I heard talking yesterday, but somebody from CBS said that Green didn't walk. He tried to explain it too. It was ridiculous.

Dang, I lost my second place. I guess that was to be expected though. Memphis let me down.
