this story is an autobiography about a jewish boy and his family throughout WW2 going to auschwitz and living lives as jews back then

its a very good book as my english class is reading it, it has truly opened my eyes to the reality in WW2 and how absolutely horrid life was to be a jew.

it has made me feel horrible for making fun of jews in the past and i am deeply sorry for ever doing it as now ive realized the serverity of this tragic time and im very ashamed of making comments about jewish people and i am sorry if i disappointed anyone

but seriously this book is very deep, emotional, suspenseful and is very good and very real about the tragic events that took place in auschwitz and other camps in WW2

Yeah this book is really good. I read it in school too. It's sad what happened to the jews during that time but don't forget it wasn't just them. Anyone who wasn't german were treated like subhumans. Also anyone who was handicapped. It's important that people hear about these things so they know how evil humans can be.

A book I would recommend is Of Mice and Men. A lot of people are turned off by the way it's written but it's a really good book.

Btw, I'm glad to see a book being mentioned. It's always videogames around here.

I remember being assigned Night in Middle School. While a good read I think that the average middle schooler is a bit immature for the subject matter at hand. Just my opinion.

Of Mice and Men was a great story. I played Lenny in a school play.

I'm looking forward to getting a copy of "Boys Will Be Boys". An in depth look at the Dallas Cowboys of the early to mid-90's.

I read this book last year, and it is an interesting book, I like the perspective a bit better than a lot of books on tragadies and genocides, it "lacks the feel pity on me", it's autobiographical without being, "feel sorry for me". Not to sound cold, but you know what I mean right?

have you read maus 1 and maus 2?
it's taken in the same place as night..but slightly different story line.
the interesting part, is that it's kinda a comic book, but ya know it's not really funny and the artwork portrays jewish people as mice, nazis as cats, americans as dogs, and french as frogs.
so there's a lot of "rhetorical strategies" in it. as my AP english teacher would say.

This was one of the most depressing books i've ever read... last year my english class did an holocaust unit, and we studied the holocaust for about 2 months... i always felt depressed after that class...
