I just went on a little rant a minute ago talking about people gunning for my scores and I just checked the inbox to see that this is the 6th score this week that someone has swiped away from me and i kinda sat there and pondered because ( To Me ) that's quite a few scores in a week that someone has taken from me , Just asking myself why and my wife looks at me and says " Your a badass sexy gamer with a huge @*(K that's why" Is this true?? maybe...LMAO , but honestly, How do YOU guys feel about people snaggin your hard earned scores? What kind of state does it put you in? Does it make you more competitive? Or do you take the " Lazy River " and avoid confrontation?

Scores were meant to be broken. If you think you can get it back, then by all means do it. Doesn't necessarily bring out the competitive nature in myself. It also doesn't bother me because i know somewhere, out there someone has more patience than me and will beat a score. More so the agony of having to play again. I picture it as: That person giving me the F-U. I always try to give that player the big F-U back, so i give a big FU right back.

I think it depends, doesn't it - for me, at any rate, for most games I want to beat the machine (a TIF-style F-U to the programmers, I s'pose) or beat my last attempt to beat the machine, anyway...


...but we're all human and there's no doubt that getting back a score from a proven schmuck has a certain deliciousness to it

Nice one. Everyone but TIF will get that...

If you can better a score I made, better it. It just tells me I need to work on the game more is all. If I care about the game, I'll work really hard to take it back. If not, I won't. It's not personal unless someone is taunting you at the same time. Or maybe it is, but it's not personal to me anyway.

I tag games I want to play/work on in my favorites folder. A great deal of these have your name on them (JLD). Why? I suspect we like the same type of games is all. A lot if not most of these games are platform games. When I get to these games, I'm going to play them as hard as possible. If I'm able to best your score on a game or two, don't take it personally, take the score back.

Currently though, I'm barely playing anything in my favorites folder as I'm to busy taunting TIF.

It really depends. If it's just a crappy score on a game no one plays I really don't care. Same goes for a score I know will take forever for me to beat.

If it's a game I know well and the score is in range then I will go after it again.

I look what it takes to get in the top five and go for that. When I first started here I submitted everything which I regret now. If I feel as if I can move up in the top five I typically will give it a run.

When I come here and if someone has beaten my highscore I might try to get it back. I've acknowledged there are a bunch of you that are much more skilled players than I. Its fun moving up in the ranks on the best players board, but I have a ton of respect for those that have such a high average rank in the top fifty.

With me its all about playing a wide variety of games I never had a chance to play, especially the arcade. Some games I play I can easily get in the top five, others like the real popular titles it can be real tough. Its all fun though, I love the competition, and seeing how far others have gotten. Its really pushed me to be a better player.
