My parents got me some Wu Tang DVDs, some sheets for my bed, some clothes, paid my utility bill...
My sister got me a Flight of the Conchords poster. My brother in law got me Call Of Duty: WAW for 360 and a 360 vision cam. I got plenty of money from my family for my trip to Japan this summer. My grandma got me a sweater.

Due to being poor, I only got the youngins in my life gifts. I got my neice Jak and Daxter for PS2, cause she got a PS2 from her mom, and I got my cousin Metal Slug Anthology for Wii.

Pretty exciting stuff.

I didn't want anything for xmas but people still got me stuff.
I got clothes, boots, two 5 dollar scratch tickets(one paid out at 50$) and 100$ from my GFs father(which I feel horrible about).

I bought(or pitched in for) a new carpet(120$), an xbox360 and other stuff I don't remember(stuff for my GFs relatives).

Other than that it was a long day. I ate too much and I'm overtired. Also there was the expected drama and hard feelings, I wish I never got out of bed. Xmas can kiss my ass.

Was that a typo? If not then why a ps2? I know it's only 129$ but it's basically all done. Sony is dropping the price of PS3 finally which is probably an attempt to get it's ps2 fanbase on the new system. They don't want to anger so many fans who refuse to blow thier money on the crazy prices from before.

Also an xbox360(60gb) is 299$. There's a 199$ version but it's memory is limited(I forget atm). If you get 360 you'll be playing with MJ, Oasis and I. That's more than enough reason.

its 20g i have it and i have 12g unused
it only gets packed with demos and videos

That is what my parents got me was a PS2. I wanted it because I don't usually get the systems that are new until the next version comes out or they go really cheap along with the game. So my parents got me that which is cool by me. So I didn't go out and buy it for myself it was a gift and I am finally happy to have one I didn't even have a playstation. Eventually I may go with the 360 but that will not be for awhile. So I got that and I would not complain about a gift that someone else got me.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be grateful for a gift count. I actually just feel bad you're going to be playing a system that's getting less and less attention. New games aren't really being made for ps2, just stuff like sports games and a select few other games.
Also the new systems have great online multiplayer. Even if you get a ps3 you'll still have fun. I say it that way because if you got a 360 you'd be playing with people you know(well sort of).

If you decide to trade up you can return the ps2(as long as the store allows it) or sell it used(good condition should still get a decent amount). Any games you've opened are screwed though. I don't know any stores that will take them back that way, selling them used is a rip off even more if the system is older.

But, if you don't really care then at least ps2 has tons of games and a lot of them are awesome. It's not totally dead either. Anyone looked for Gamecube games recently?

@MJ, have you saved any big games like fallout or oblivion?
My 360 is 60gb I think it's @40gb free atm. I don't have many demos and I don't use it for music. I didn't want to end up erasing game data if I run out of room. I start a lot of games and take long breaks from them.

Well dudebro I have been looking for gamecube games still and I still find them. I am not saying that I will not upgrade at some point but right now the money is a issue and I dont like paying the new game prices that the stores charge. If I was to get a 360 it would take me a month or 2 to get the money for it and then another month to get a game and so on and so on. So this way at least I have something new to me that I can play and then have fun getting games that I can afford. Eventually I will have the next great system but as of now I am happy with the system of old that I can afford to have.

I am happy with the new system that I have eventually I will get the other one but for now I will make do and just play that one without everyone else until I get the 360.
