cant remember the name of a game

ok guys this one is going to be tough so ill describe it the best i can

... this game will be for the nes or the snes ... i think the snes though

you play a warrior (not dragon warrior) and i even forget what the missions are but its like a top down scrolling rpg kinda looks like ff but the main char looks like a guy from contra and you have to get to a point in the game where you need to cross this small river but the only way to cross it is to find a grapleing hook like zelda and thier is a post on each side of the river that you hook on to ... and the only other main detail of the game i can remember is you would go into these caves and talk to these giant bhuda looking guys and ill draw a text picture of what im talking about

and dont be afraid to shout one out if you think it is ill find a screen shot of your title and say yes or no

oh and when you attacked while on the world map you would send out this ball and chain then pull it back or swing it around your head or something if i remember right and you would also play like legendary wings (it allmost is same stile in looks besides this one is not a shooter) where you would have a over head view and then go into a side view when in a cave

funnily enough this was a major point of contention in an old team contest.

Great game, but I believe there is a slight issue in the game. You can progress through the whole game, but your exp will only go up so high, and you cannot reach the maximum power. This makes the end of the game very difficult.

Alternately, could you be talking about CLASH AT DEMONHEAD?

Hey, Brody's back. How have you been?

Yeah I remember trying to beat this game in a contest and the experience points incorrectly maxing out half way through. It made it super hard but still a very fun game.

Doing good...daughter is starting to entertain herself a little, so I can check in a little more often...although there is another on the way in June...

The glitch doesn't take a whole lot away from the game, but it does severly up the difficulty. I highly recommend playing it...for hours.
