RU Legal?

I am new to the site and don't know if ths question has already been brought up, but is RU similar to Vizzed in that the users "rent" the games in order to keep RU 100% legal?

No, we use the same method https://archive.org/ uses. We contact all the publishers that are contactable, inform them of our intent, stay on friendly terms with them and make sure they know all they have to do is ask and we will immediately remove any game they own, if they so wish. So far Tom Clancy is the only one to make that request.

This has never been tested in court so there is a grey area. However Archive.org is a very respectable company, the 200th largest site in the world, and hosting roms in the same way we are.
