It shouldn't.
You realize that the A, B, and C keyboard keys do not equal the A, B, and C Genesis buttons, correct? You need to enter the Genesis buttons.
Keyboard = Genesis
Z = A
X = B
C = C
So the code is Z +X, C, C, C, Z, X, X, X on your keyboard.
