fighting games are as complex as you want to make them, you guys are learn your 10 hit, 65 button 100% damage king combos, and street fighter players are learning all the very subtle ins and outs of the game.
i find most 3d fighting games play out very chunky-like, too slow, like press down-down towards- towards and hit a button, then dont touch the controller for 3 seconds while you watch your player, anticipate his move, excecute his move, and then recover from his move. this results in too many retarded breaks in the action. where as street fighter (aswell as most other 2d fighters) have a steady flow of awsomeness.
I can see people digging the 3d games if they cant handle the fast pace of an old school fighter though, so i can see where you guys are coming from.
