I am what you would call an amateur bass freak, in the sense that I don't have enough money to buy a stereo capable of performing adequately so I use 3 subwoofers of different characteristics to compensate.
The way I have them connected drops off my LF response but in a way that's good because you gotta be careful with songs like 'Bass, I love you', which has subsonic bursts that
really trash your surrounds.
(my simple method acts like a built in filter for ULF)
