nesplayer2299, in many foreign countries, the SMS was incredibly popular. In fact, even by the time that Japan and the US had moved on to the Genesis, SMS versions of Genesis games were being produced for those countries where it was still prevalent. The SMS was clearly no push-over console.

TMT, I've got to cast my lot with Sega. Once I "graduated" from the NES, I was on the Sega bandwagon until there wasn't one to follow anymore.

I've got too many fond memories, old and new, thanks to Sega to cast my vote any other way.
