I really don't have a problem with ratings on games. I think it's a great idea to list the contents of a game so parents know what's in it as well.
Everyone knows that most parents have no clue about video games. Of course that's changing with the video game generation growing up but it's still there.
But you're right. What's the point if parents are just going to ignore the rating and pick one item on the list and ban the game from thier house? If a game has "strong sexual content" than you can kiss it goodbye when it comes to most parents. "graphic violence" doesn't seem to register with most people. Frustrating.
