Farming wouldn't be a big deal since you have gather resources from planets and sell them for money anyways. You have to farm to make money.
I suppose if someone wanted to they could do safe farming and eventually get a high score but to really make money you have to play the game. If you don't actually buy upgrades and fight other ships you'll never make it.

I really like this game and this would be a good way to get other people into it.
