I'm just curious, where are these "rules" you speak of? From what I can see, the only thing you need is the top 11 games (why 11 is a whole other topic in itself :P). I see nothing about it having to be from a different franchise for each pick, like Tenser said:

It is ridiculous to not put a game on your list because you have one of the same franchise on it already. If the list is dominated by a certain franchise then maybe it just a good set of games. But, as it has been stated, you are entitled to an opinion.
I'm curious though, would you classify Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, and Super Mario RPG as the same franchise? If so, it kind of weakens the argument since they are each a totally different style of game from the other and all very good.
