Treason doesn't work that way. Broad definitions used in a dictionary are moot. To accuse someone of political treason would require the legal definition defined in the Constitution:
"
Article 3 Section 3
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attained."

Russia is not considered an "enemy of the state" as Congress has not declared war against them. Unbeknownst to the Bushs, Clintons, and Obamas of the world, onlt Congress has the right to declare war.
Declassifying or sharing of classified information must (not usually) go through the proper channels. That being said, the President, acting as the Commander-in-Chief is the final word on classified information and is the end all "proper channel." This is a privilege of the executive branch.
This is all according to an executive order penned by Obama in 2009.

"The United States over the past decades under the Obama and Clinton administrations has released classified information to foreign governments for diplomatic goodwill, known as declassification diplomacy. Examples include information on Augusto Pinochet to the government of Chile. In October 2015, US Secretary of State John Kerry provided Michelle Bachelet, Chile’s president, a pen drive containing hundreds of newly declassified documents."

This is all VERY common it seems. I suspect this is mostly being drummed up by the media as political scandal, real or made up, sells.
As for his dishonesty, I only mind it as much as I mind the dishonesty of any other politician. He's done idiotic things such as the bombing of Libya which world policing has been a horrible trait of all our president in my lifetime. He's also done wonderful things in my opinion, like the executive order that allows vets to seek medical attention in any public hospital and not just VAs. Stopping government funding of Planned Parenthood was also a great service in my opinion.
His budget gets a C+. I'd like to see military spending take a large cut as well.
