Am I naive in thinking that Trump's presidency won't be as destructive to the US as people are assuming? I didn't vote him and I definitely don't want him to be president but I'm not buying all the hysteria that the US is doomed now. IDK though, maybe I'm just uninformed/dumb. I get what you're saying, and it's possibly true. It's not great. I think there is no conceivable way it's good. The doom and gloom? The problem is the man is a LOOSE CANNON who has said and promised some very scary things. There is literally no telling what he could do. Neighboring that is fucking scary.
